Best Weapon for Aura Acid/Evil Lock?

Working on a Corrosive Radiant (Evil) Warlock, based on Kali's fiend warlock. Going to leave it 34 to farm with. Going to gear it out, in non raid gear, both to hold gear for my main and be best it can be. I have saved some duplicate drops to not have to rob gear from it for the most part.

Trying to plan ahead, since both require farming, on it's end weapon. It's an aura lock. I was thinking Legendary Corrosive Radiant Quarterstaff. It seems to give best boost to both acid and light without massive gear tetris. However, most builds use a dino club, but I think those are for multiple builds using same gear. Since I am leaving this at 34, don't need to worry about that. Looking for biggest bang in aura/spells damage. What's best? Any suggestions?

good luck farming radiance scepter. to make the quarterstaff. but yes for quarterstaffs think these are the best options.

I got Radiance Scepter 4th try, was not so lucky on Corrosive one.

Thx for the feedback. Only on my 4th life so still not sure what I am doing and so many guides are out of date.

Best non-raid weapon bang is likely 2 dino weapons. Ash on the main-hand, ooze on the off-hand for maximum debuffs. And an affirmation swap for temp HP. You will have to kill the wilderness dread rares for black pearls, but that's not too bad to do.

In case you're not familiar with debuffs.
Ash- Attacks and offensive spells have a 50% chance to reduce enemy MRR and Universal Spell Power. This penalty stacks 3 times, -7MRR and -20USP each time, 12 seconds duration. Can make MRR negative. (-21 MRR total)

Oooze- Attacks and offensive spells reduce enemy PRR and MRR by 10 each for 12 seconds [100% proc rate.]

Combined, that's -31 MRR (and -10 PRR). Each negative MRR point is basically 1% more blast/spell damage; so that's 31% more damage to your attacks. Mutliple sources of Ash/Oooze don't stack higher, so if others are bring those debuffs then best choice for weapon would change, but for solo/pugging that's the way I'd go.

Ok, so Ooze and Ash are Horn, so could still put Claw Corrosive/Radiance +149. Would lose Insightful +71 bonus staff gives and there does not seem to be any other Insightful bonus items. No idea how it calculates but guessing the +31% damage is better.

Thanks. LOTS of farming ahead but I already been farming IoD path and black pearls and also extra weapons/gear to feed to sentient items.

Have you considered Mori’s mace? It procs acid vulnerabilty. That stacks to 20% damage in a long fight. Not sure how you would fit it in. It also has great Corrosion stats:

The only long fight is Vixorshal the Deceiver and it is really not that long. Have not been able to take out the dragon, Zardanarith, yet. Well using my Fire/Radiance alt that is Kali's Build. Everything dies fast. Might be able to take out the dragon after I get clubs setup.


Ya but those are also weapons/orbs that would take the place of clubs/staff and I do not want to do that. I meant accessories. No way to get it other then staff, but club vs staff, just element, would be difference of -1% crit and -64 Corrosive/Radiance, but now I see the extra bonuses from clubs outweigh that. Fang would add Insight +10% crit damage, Claw Quality +5% crit damage. Then the debuffs adding +31% damage.

Not sure your current gearset, but off the top of my head fir acid/evil, take a look at legendary bramble casters. That is an easy way to get acid/evil lore. Legendary stone shoes is ins/qual acid. Dread has a neck that gives ins radiance. Pendant of sky I think. You can always cannith craft insightful spell power.

"None raid" Ooze Augment (aspect of tar) drops only in the raid

Raid, but I see your point, found better list of items. Legendary Pendant of the Earth/Sky are obtainable. So some things are out there.

Thanks for suggestions will add them to farm list. Sadly crafting on my main only at level 14 items. Need to find a guide to get it higher.

Bramble casters. Does that stack with Radiance? Both passive equipment bonus? Or is Evil and Evil Alignment different?

On my corrosion-specced monk I do the ToEE set glasses/ring and pair it with the Abishai ring (Fisto posted it above) and a corrosion weapon augment. That gets you spell lore—insighful/quality/competence corrosion and even insightful spellcraft 10 (another 10 spell power). It also gets artifact acid spell power and 30 PRR artifact, even 15 meleepower. It does NOT add 6% spell crit like Shaman or the Bound Elementals.

I use the illusion tree for 3 AP to make it an implement too (you might not need this)and get the cat following me for a bit more spell power when the stupid thing manages to catch up.

Kali has a precise gear setup so not sure how things fit in.
