Is my math right? Is it worth it?
What build do you have that is max crit mult? I realize this has been discussed, and critical threat range is more important, but if my math is correct, it should throw up some huge damage.

If you go with 14 paladin or sacred fist, you can get holy sword and Exalted Smite and get up to +2 crit multiplier and range with it.

Swords to Plowshares gives +1 crit threat range, not multi, I believe.

Holy Sword's +1 crit multi does not stack with +2 from DL or barb.

OC and top tier ED each gives +1 on 19-20, so maybe one more there.

What dandonk said. Also, Patience is missing for another +1.

18+ barb for another +1 on 19-20.

Handwraps are 20/x2 base, except for Antipode (19-20/x2) and Adamantine Knuckles (18-20/x2). There's a bunch of Impact handwraps (19-20/x2), but that doesn't stack with Improved Critical so it winds up the same (see below).
Holy Sword x5
Dragonlord or Barbarian x7
As stated, the crit multiplier from Holy Sword will not stack with the crit multiplier from Dragonlord / Frenzied Berserker; they're all competence bonuses. But the +1 crit range from Holy Sword will stack so it's not totally useless. You could also grab +1 crit range from Deepwood Stalker's level 12 core instead, if you can afford the 21 AP cost.

Master of Forms fire stance extra crit 19-20 multi. Limits the splashes of course.
Does not work with Rage, though, which takes Overwhelming Shifting off the table. So I think it's a net DPS loss? Otherwise I would've expected to see way more Razorclaw monks. Sure it's expensive AF but what else do minmaxing whales have to spend their DPs on?

So I think handwraps will cap at x5: x2 base + 1 Razorclaw + 2 DL or FB.

Likewise I think their crit range caps at 17-20: 20 base + 1 StP + 1 Improved Critical (or Impact) + 1 Holy Sword (or DWS). Add +1 with Antipode or +2 with Adamantine Knuckles.

EDIT: to that you can add Overwhelming Critical + ED capstone for +2x on 19-20, putting your endgame threat range at 17-18/x5 19-20/x7.
