I want to revive the great threads left by our predecessors before they vanish into the electronic abyss.
I'm not sure how long I'll be playing DDO, so I want to summarize my old armor while my memory is fresh.
This armor includes pieces collected before Update 14 as well as those acquired recently, but they are still obtainable today.
Let's add some more while we're at it!
Rare Brigandine:
Brigandine is an armor forgotten in the changes of U14.
Its basic appearance is brown leather armor, but there are also rare models of Brigandine such as the following.
You can currently obtain it in Repossession.
Half Plate Armor:
Prior to U14, there existed a rare version of Half Plate Armor with the icon of Full Plate Armor.
Essentially, it combined the body texture of Silkenmail with the chest of Full Plate, with the quantity of Full Plate parts varying depending on the item's level.
You can currently obtain it in Repossession.
Combining the base texture of the Kundarak Delving Suit with Full Plate might be particularly rare, don't you think?
I only have screenshots of a dwarf with hairy legs that look smelly, sorry about that.
Chain Shirt skirt type:
It's a Hauberk-style Chainmail that protects down to the buttocks.
There are several colors available, but all have the same appearance for the Chest part. Skirt type is rare in the current random generator, so some people might like it, but personally, I wish there was a bit more detail.
You can currently obtain it in Repossession.
Plate Armor:
There's a prevalence of Plate Armor with extreme imbalance between left and right, like the Templar's Bastion added in U14.
Is it rare these days to find those with giant Spaulders protecting the neck?
You can currently obtain it in Red Fens(quest reward) & Harbinger of Madness(chain reward).
Tips for Finding Old-Type Armor:
Currently, old-type armor can only be obtained from quests that reward B2A type rewards.
I recommend quests where B2A rewards are given per quest, such as those found in the Marketplace Sharn or Red Fens, rather than quests where rewards are only available through Chain Rewards like WW.
However, note that at lower quest levels, the quantity of parts on the armor decreases, so if you want a complete set of old-type armor, try to find quests at higher levels.
Additionally, it's uncertain whether the Mirror can accurately copy Cosmetic, as not all scenarios have been tested.
Someone please fill in the missing parts.
