Black Friday Sales Have Arrived!

Frankly I found the video to be insulting and stupid, but who cares. It does not reflect the actual working people of the games industry in any sort of accuracy that I have ever experienced or seen, and even as parody its core thought is uneducated. Here's the truth: Whether you are an executive, venture capitalist, dungeon maker, or someone in a part time QA or CS position, or just doing stuff at home, you are working in the games biz because you like video games. The end. Sure money is involved, but people do not think like this video claims nor act like it.

Cordovan, the video is a satire made by Viva la dirt league.
They make these type of content for more than a decade.
There was no attempt what so ever to insult DDO staff or devs. (you can also easily see the video refers to Blizzard).
I post it here to be funny and part of the argument that was going on.

Edit: The main idea of the video is actually a new community manager getting her dream job in her childhood video game company. I just mark the part of the video that was extremely funny.

The Black Friday sale in the DDO STORE ONLY has been extended until 6:00 PM Eastern today (Wednesday, December 4th) to allow for some people who had a specific geographic purchase issue to make their purchases before the end of the sale now that we've been able to correct the issue. The DDO Market sale has ended.
I was one of those affected with geographic purchasing issues that you helped. Why wasn't the Market sales extended as well? It ran alongside the Black Friday sales, and the issues we had prevented us from taking advantage of all sales. Anyways, thanks again for adding PayPal back into my store even tho it took 4 days, but I guess I must wait another year to see 75% off +8 ability tomes :(

3 full business days and no response from support. I think they are just as make believe as this game.

I also still have the same payment issue. Prices in CAD in the DDO store show up as the same price in USD in the Steam store. $46.99 CAD in the DDO store gets charged as $46.99 USD (or $74 CAD) in the Steam store.

Support sent me an email yesterday saying they figured out the issue and fixed it, but nothing has changed.

Edited to add: This has not been an issue in the last several years I have been using Steam to play DDO. Not sure what changed, but it must have been something that broke when implementing the Black Friday sale.

Now that these sales are over can we please get some progress on the Bottle of Mist and the Wish for Eladrin Memories. Your players have been asking for both for a while now and we still don't even know when they will be available. Get your act together and take our money please.

I mean I'd agree that isn't exactly the most nuanced or realistic parody, but no industry is devoid of people/companies that prioritize money over the quality of the product.

That's not to say I think that describes SSG, or most companies for that matter. I understand the reality is you guys aren't choosing between "make new expansion", and "charge people to breathe". Things are more complicated then that, regardless of how much work or passion you guys have and put into the game tough decisions have to be made to keep the lights on.

At the same time as players we don't really get to see the context or consideration for those decisions if it isn't communicated, which allot of the time it isn't and that makes it easy to doubt the motives for decisions like not making the loot table or the drop rates for items public.
