What piss me off too was the reason they had to remove the ultimate bundle of IoD.. its because it has one OTTO, one per account yuo can buy for cheap with a big discount, its one... Plus rare items... and insane price for expansions... with lackluster content.. I have been playing less and less and I can't see anything they can announce that would take me back...

last year the 3rd month of Year of the Dragon was "Curate your Xpack cache", which was choose your own expansion (except Vecna). I choose the Isle of Dread on my alt accounts so I am guessing you choose differently?

It'll wildly depend on whether you have stuff you want that is more desirable in other packs.
For my family for example, everyone (except me, who already had it) picked Saltmarsh. The reason for that was simple in our case; they could just pike for whatever they needed. Then there was the explorer where they could go in at their own time and just farm the explorers for sentient XP and items to feed to their gear as well. Feywild was a possible option, but given that (at that time) if there was going to be another 99 DDO point drop, the next addition is likely to be Feywild, so we decided to avoid that one. Given that the Spark of Logic was a saga drop, then just having access and gaining (Reaper when piking in loot test runs) XP would mean they can get that without needing to go via the higher Tier Bundle. Also as they pike in relevant runs, there's no need for a trapper like Frogo, so they could just grab the base adventure area of Saltmarsh and it'll be fine.
Isle of Dread could have been chosen, but Isle of Dread had the Tome of Destiny +1 to it as well that was desirable. And of course, the bundled Otto Boxes as well. So if they were to grab any pack on offer at that time, it would likely be Isle of Dread.

People want the sale on the market. To get the bundle bonuses with the boxes. And it's theorized that the reason why the IoD on DDO market sale never happens because of the boxes

i dont even care about the boxes. i just want the hirelings tbh, as that is usually the only thing i care about in the ufb. granted, hirelings arent that great, and maybe its all just sunk cost on my end by this point. the boxes were never a selling point for me, as i dont reincarnate in the first place.

Feywild and Sharn pre-date the upgrade system, Saltmarsh was the first expansion to offer it. They've never redone the older expansion setup to use that system.
IoD doesn't have any hirelings from what I can see.
@Cordovan , please forgive the direct ping: I really, really want to use this sale and catch up on expansions since 2018, when I stopped playing. And the store won't let me. I moved from the US to Portugal, and I think that terribly confused the DDO store. Now it just tells me an error occurred, when trying to buy with a Portuguese credit card. When removing the card, it tells me my location doesn't match US.
I opened ticket 457704 for this on Friday. Would hugely appreciate help to get this resolved before the sale ends tomorrow Tuesday.
Less urgent but also appreciated some help: I used what DDO points I still had to buy the F2P 10 year anniversary bundle (the one with the +8 tome), and it didn't show up on my character. I swear I looked everywhere, including other characters and the hero hall vendors. Ticket 457412.
