Black globe of slime - SOLVED!

All globes have been found now.
Now to figure out how/where the Slime Emblem is used and whether it has anything to do with Muck's Ascension or the Sealed Altar mentioned in its description.

yeah, the full riddle has not solved yet.
I hope this is for more than just one very specific item, that blessing is something to improve more things.

You don't think this is ToD's version of The Dark Gift? Black globe, being the Saga reward, is kinda hinting at it.

It maybe similar to Nebula Fragment Secret, leave the Slime Emblem in the inventory, then talk to someone and open up a different dialogue.
Perhaps, would not hurt to try talking to Lahar in the Twelve to see if there is any new dialogue, and there are a few Altars nearby.

Awesome! I had thought the stuff might all be available in heroics (so someone around the level range for heroic Terror content could do it) but underdark is epic leveled only, so that's interesting.

My theory... that this Sealed Altar is the pay off. A crafting table or trade in allowing you to get Juiblex blessed.. stuff..
I do find it weird that the emblem can't go into any bags though.

If we do, I hope that it, the avatar of juiblex in Fetid Wedding and the one in The Pit are updated visually and, for the hypothetical raid boss and the rare in The Pit, possibly be updated mechanically to change form.On a side note, I wonder if this other sect will be the raid and we'll get to fight an avatar of Juiblex for it.
ToD is already used for Tower of Despair. ToDG is less confusing.

For what its worth updating the mega thread with my thoughts on what we know so far towards finding the Altar:
What Clues do we have to find the Sealed Altar?
Take theses with a grain of salt. Its early days.
So, piecing together threads of lore...
Juiblex appears to be making Muck into one of their Avatars. So anything Muck or Juiblex related seems to be in play here.
Durk's Got a Secret = Muck's spawn location.
The Pit = housed the Avatar of Juiblex as well as a host of Troglodyte Juiblex cultists.
If it Wasn't for Bad Luck = We find some gnome scoffing at the other sect Juiblex followers been trying to assemble an Avatar. This is most likely referring to the Pit
To my knowledge so far, the only other place where Juiblex has a focus is the Fetid Wedding.. but more as a foil to Zuggutmuy. Still there could be other clues left to find. NPC dialogue, flavor text... weird sections of the map.. who knows, keep an eye out seekers!
So what does that tell us?
Not much.. been over those quests a ton and never noticed any Altar's sealed or otherwise that were special. So we're likely missing a clue still or we need to make some leaps of logic using meta knowledge.
What kind of Meta Knowledge?
Well, the Jellysight is an oddly special item that likely have some significance. Step's puzzle required special goggles to see the altar. And while I have been running around mostly with those goggles on... I have the legendary version which the overlay doesn't work. (working on acquiring a heroic set).
Odds are the Altar is in the new content. It just makes the most sense to put the Altar somewhere in the new content just like Steps. Alternate options are the 3 main quests listed above.
Most crafting/trade 'Altars' are in a 'safe place' or in places that aren't too hard to be made safe so people aren't constantly attacked while trying to craft.
The emblem itself is weird, it doesn't go into a bag like a normal crafting ingredient. Could be a bug or could be required to see/use/unseal the Altar. Possibly in combo with Jellysight... The same could be said for Muck's Ascension itself to I suppose.
Steelstar was also kind of enough to let us know that everything we need currently exists. If I interpret his messages correctly, no need to wait for the raid or the unreleased quest.

I noticed Juiblex didn't appear in the quest 'Back to the Abyss' but it did appear in 'Fetid Wedding' at the end. This means it was summoned alongside all the other demon lords to Darklake but it is yet to be banished! So I think whoever said this Slime Emblem is used in an upcoming raid might be right, it might have something to do with the banishment of Juiblex back to the abyss (a fun guess would be it is used to disguise raiders as slimes/oozes for purpose of infiltrating into the ranks of its followers). Of course, alternatively I would be a very happy player if it was instead a crafting ingredient used to give weapons the aspect of tar/legendary ooze enchantment hehe.

Does the overlay actually not work at all? With the heroic version, they don't work on log-in if you're wearing them, but removing them and put them back on fixes it.

Yep, not at all. Heroic ones do work on the same character though, so will just use those for the time being.
