Black globe of slime - SOLVED!

Not found anything new yet myself while using goggles throughout new quests or slime-related ones after obtaining the Emblem. Trying to get my hands on a Muck's Ascension just in case it is needed, but this Muck's Doom is refusing to drop for me. Wonder if what we need to find is another object tucked away in a wilderness zone.

On a side note, I wonder if this other sect will be the raid and we'll get to fight an avatar of Juiblex for it.

We do typically get a new altar in each raid... I wonder if using this item in the new raid will unlock an optional fight with Juiblex?

Steelstar seemed to be indicating the slimes were in the game to create/unlock the upgrade from your OP. I'm not convinced he meant we could utilize the upgraded item currently. Especially considering his comment was in response to a question as to whether or not the 6th globe was actually in the game:

This is the only time I'll step into this discussion:

I've confirmed that the things you are looking for, if they exist at all, are working properly on Live.

I will also confirm that there's nothing related to this in unreleased/upcoming content; the things you're looking for, if they exist, are in the current build.

out of the box thinking, but are the text descriptions the same while wearing those glasses? It would be a wild twist if they changed the description text rather than make some item in game appear (if they do at all).

First off, creepy video, ew

Second off, here's the video transcript:
"All things in time do wear away
The altar hasten their decay
A place outside of time it lies
But visible by mortal eyes
A closer look at corners new
Patience brings it into view"

This sounds like you're going to have to carry it around while you kill a bunch of high-level cleric and mage enemies.

Non-raid:
-Mindflayers
-Liches
-Cleric, Druid and Monk class humanoids
-Wizard and Artificer class humanoids
-Dragons
-Sorjek (SoS)

Raid bosses:
-Velah
-Abbot (& Erandis Vol)
-Quaspiel
-Truthful One
-Kor Kaza
-Sorjek (TS)
-Toven d'Cannith
-Baba Lysaga
-Ghost Flame
-Wrath of Vecna??

This immediately makes me think of Times in Myth Drannor.

1 Chronoscope
2 Maybe Moander's Temple (Seeds of Decay) but seems unlikely
3 Killing Time

Agree Killing Time bottom areas seem a logical solution. Says patience opens the way. So wonder if it needs to time out even. That would suck to test though.

It would suck less if there's some "Altar" in a "new corner" that lets you rush the countdown. (Hastens the decay)

Altar is found, upstairs in new hub behind green crystal. You have to look at it for a few seconds before you can interact with it. It has several acid-based crafts. I don't have Muk's Ascension to see if there is a hidden option with it + Emblem.

I am betting that an altar appears if we wait after the defeat of the boss in Chronoscope rather than using dimension door to get out of there.
Oof, seems that was wrong.
