Black globe of slime - SOLVED!

I was wrong, the legendary slime on it does summon oozes too. I don't know why I didn't get any yesterday when I was first messing around with it.

Oh, that's disappointing. I was hoping to use it for debuffing in raids. Oh well. ☹️
Considering that it is a non-raid weapon, I think it is very appropriate that it summons oozes

It would have been nice if the caster sticks have all of blighted lore, blighted intensity, and blighted power and then something new that lets you summon jubilex to fight for you.
Summoning a Demon Lord sounds like a terrible idea.

Personally, I kind of like the outer ooze portion. But a lot of the inner metal parts are a little disappointing. I get they are meant to be corroded and eaten by the slime, but it would have been nice if they had a bit more detail than just being gray metal slabs.

i couldnt tell if im just old and out of touch, but not a fan of the cosmetic either.
I'm old and out of touch and I think the slime weapons look neat. The Duergarcraft designs, on the other hand... was the artist told to ignore everything about real world blade design? On balance, leverage, geometry - they're just terrible. Is that what they look like in the reference material?

I want a horde of oozes that have the ability to reform into one massive purple The Blob (so inverse split) and once it does it we have to fight it and once beaten it drops a chest with unique items.

That said, will we fight jubilex in the next raid and do we need these items so that we can bypass its damage reduction/material type?

Does anyone know "Lingering Acidic Burn" stack with "Acid Attunement"?
Or they are the same thing with different name?

Seem like the opposite of what these weapons would do. If anything they would be used against one of the other demon lords, but we already have a Zuggutmoy encounter, and she's Jubilex's rival.
Also seems a safe bet we won't be fighting Llolth again.

The name of the expansion would seem to indicate that we'll be fighting Demogorgon. If that's the case, and if we need special raid weapons (quite unlikely in the version of DDO we have in 2026), we might be gathering the power of several other Demon Lords to do so. That might mean taking the Legendary Drow weapons (Llolth Blessed) to combine with these Jubilex weapons.

It's the acid version of dripping with magma, so not the same thing, but no, wiki says it currently doesn't stack with Earth Attunement (though it should!).👍

Not to spoil the fun - But I want to lay out early that these weapons are not meant to be summoning slimes - as flavorful as that is. The text on the Slime effect is meant to be the entire effect.

Not quite sure how that may have slipped into the entirely new version of this that I made, about to go digging, but if the Oozing Hunger weapons are spawning slimes, that's going to get patched out in the near future. Sorry to all the slime-summoning advocates out there <3

As a second note:
In an upcoming patch, the Shields of the Oozing Hunger will become Bound to Character, matching the other items craftable at the Sealed Altar.

In that same patch, the Slime Emblem will become Bound to Account, giving more flexibility to crafting these on alts.

The insistence on enforcing BtC at every available opportunity is extremely disappointing and discouraging.

It would be nice to see the sealed altar items become BTA with consideration on that for other similar items going forward. The 68 alts type people who are punished the most by this are already likely spending heavily to get stat and xp tomes on different characters, especially encouraged to get ultimate editions for the tomes on every character, are likely buying way more storage space and storage bags, etc.

Also having to make 68 copies of this gear feels like a slap in the face at that point, I'd hoped these would be BTA since they aren't from a raid and finally would offer an option to alleviate some of that.

Will we ever get this effect on non-raid items? It is after all flavorful and more useful in quests than in raids.
