Black globe of slime - SOLVED!

has anybody beaten Zarazurthu yet? lol ... If I was going to delve in the deepest (newest) (under) dark, his door named Dwarven Ruins might be a good choice.... he just needs a whip for Gandalf.

Have beat them multiple times now. Unless there's a secret slime/ooze boss somewhere in the wilderness zone then IDK if there's anything to be found out there.

If we assume the black globe along with the globes obtained from the first two locations mentioned in the riddle form the top of the emblem, and the orbs found in the bottom three locations form the bottom, then "where his blessed roam" refers to The Pit.

If we go off the riddle being in sequence for top/bottom half:

Top half:

Bottom half: (pink, grey, blue made a piece so the logic of top/bottom half for riddle order could hold up)
Pink And look deep where his blessed roam (Avatar of Juiblex, The Pit may belong to this line)

Does it have to be a named Ooze? I was thinking Creeping Death or Tomb of the Blighted might be possibilities.

If this is the case, the treasury room in Saltmarsh/Danger in Dunwater maybe potential one too.

There is a randomly spawning rare ooze in Last Stand out in Red Fens. Or the optional in Caged Beast.

Checked "If It Wasn't For Bad Luck" in case that covered "blessed roam" b/c of the 3 cubes that are specifically mentioned as being "blessed" by DM text. Checked HE and LE, nothing. Went down the hallways to see if there was a spot and also did thorough searching after quest end.

The black orb is clearly not part of the riddle. There's only 5 locations in the riddle, and 6 orbs, so the black one is outside of it.

In order:
Delve within the Deepest Dark: Unknown
Kill what lives in Rival's home: TOEE
Look deep where his blessed roam: The Pit
Break the glass in which they slept: WPM
And don't forget where secret's kept: Durk's

The first is probably hiding somewhere in the Darklake. It could also possibly be in the Kingsforest Underdark, but that seems outside of the level range we see on all the others, which are level 9 at max.

Perhaps there's other elements involved, like ooze type. DDO has 6 types of ooze. Grey Ooze, Black Pudding, Ochre Jelly, Violet Slime, Arcane Ooze, and Gelatinous Cube.

Avatar of Juiblex is an arcane ooze.
Muck is a grey ooze.
WPM jars have black puddings.
TOEE is a Gelatinous cube.

That leaves violet slimes and ochre jellies.

Both of those types are found in Depths of Darkness, Discord, and Doom. One of those three seems like the best shot. Of the two types, ochre jelly seems like the more likely candidate, it's a long time old school classic D&D monster.

There aren't a lot of named or notable ochre jellies:
Alluvium is in Whispers of Return - right level range, but in another expansion.
Experimental Byproduct in Soul Survival - too high level.
Festering Sludge in Haunting of Saltmarsh - Different expansion again.
Glomm in Last Stand - Another good candidate, but there doesn't seem to be any delving or darkness connection to it, since this is an outdoor fight.
Phlegm in belly of the beast - Different expansion, level range is off, but it's definitely delving in darkness.

It doesn't really fit the riddle. Anybody check the ooze in Soul Survivor? I don't think it's spawns a chest but I'm running out of ideas.

My only issue with the Pit line is; Avatar of Juiblex. In a d&d world the avatar of a demon would not be a Blessed avatar nor would he bless his own avatar. More like an accursed Avatar. The blessed would more likely be Angels.... & the deep dark 'could' also refer to the Pit. Both 'work'.
my 2¢ 'his' could be read as meaning Psilofyr, his Lawful Neutral enemy and patron deity of the myconid race and the fungal mind mentioned in the lore. It can be as simple as Durk or as complicated as ToEE, that's the fun in it. lol

Just reflecting on the lines, there are five hints, each line are clues that refer to the non-saga reward locations. It seems that Avatar of Juiblex from The Pit could be either 'Delve within the deepest dark' or 'And look deep where his blessed roam.' I think it is 'blessed roam' since an avatar is the Blessd, so that is why folks are trying to figure out what Delve within the Deepest Dark might signify.
Or maybe the solution is 'blessed roam.'

I am betting it is in Records of the Past, will check.

ok checked the four different chests in Records of the Past, nothing. Do you need to own the new expansion to have the materials drop? Does it matter if it is heroic vs. legendary? How many times do you need to exhaust something to be certain?

No.

Don't think it matters.

It's not 100% chance for the chest to have the items; but all of them have been in new chests, so that's pretty much the tell for them.

The blessed are the troglodytes - they're literally named the "Juibless."
