Booted on the creation screen and shutting down the computer

Not sure whats going on, I can log into my account perfectly fine but when I go to try and set up a character on Cormyr, I can get to the creation screen and as I'm populating the skills page it boots me and shuts the computer down. No idea what's going on but it happens at the same place each time. I did some diagnostic stuff on the computer both hardware and software and still nothing. I have been unable to find a post with anyone else having this issue. Am I missing something here??? Do i need to purchase the Hall of Heroes thing that pops up on the creation screen? Thanks for any help in advance.

Figured it out with my tech support husband. My windows update was set to always postpone a week and there was an update sitting there waiting. Updated windows with the latest update and it worked like a charm. It was after all that virus known as Windows ;)

Ok. Weird. I have the same problem: after playing a few minutes my pc restart. But only when playing ddo.. i get used to it🙈 Not playing but waiting for restart to start playing 😅 thanks, will try that win virus killer👍🏼
