can we get a teleport clicky to the grove...it's a hub now, so if I had that clicky it would reduce loading hops...maybe fewer teleport hops would mean fewer requests on the server and less lag. Right now I go Saltmarsh->Grove->wherever.

even better if they gave us an event where we could earn the clicky, meaning it'd be available for the free to play crowd. although, given state of lag I want fewer events.

i didn't realize teleport was an option...though i'm probably too lazy to grab scrolls each life or store them in a bank...but given that it's already an option for teleport, making it a clicky that works with my existing bottle would be a win for me!

Why would it take damage? You only wear it to teleport with.

Is it rare? I've got 5 or 6 of them; I just assume people rarely see them because no one really runs those quests much these days.

I have 5 of each. I farmed for the ring early on (before everyone had UMD) since it only takes about 2 minutes to run right to the chest that drops the ring, but the mask is the end chest so I just run that once per life like I do every quest.

At one time these two items were definitely rare. However, a few years ago there was a rare (old) items overhaul and their drops were adjusted to the usual standards now. For example, the mysterious bauble used to be a real pain to farm, and now it's a reasonable grind since it has the usual drop.

I'm not sure if the drops of these two items were adjusted at that time. They should have been, but DDO is rich in exceptions, so maybe the devs thought they didn't deserve standardization.

I don't play this chain much, but since the standardization I've gotten these items a couple of times. Of course, statistically my sample is very small and doesn't mean anything, but it makes me think they might have received the adjustment. But again, it could mean I just got lucky. You can't deduce anything for sure from such a small sample.

I'm pretty sure the drop rate was not adjusted. I run the Restless Isles quests every life, and even with a full party looting, only 1 guard mask in the last 5 lives.

As far as the bottle of mist goes, I doubt it will ever be in the store for DDO points. There is something weird with how the teleport menu is constructed so you only have to carry 1 teleport item to access all locations, and if it's not purchased through the DDO market and thus given an account flag for owning it, it won't be there. More spaghetti code stuff.

They have always said they will NOT be placing individual items like the Bottle of Mists that allows transport to Ravenloft for sale. You will have to purchase the Ultimate pack THEN you can ask for the difference between the Ultimate pack and the pack originally purchased. But, a refund of that difference is not a guarantee.
