^^^Everything should be unbound.
If given the choice, I'd prefer to see older non-set items gain solunar slots. Most notably Minor Artifacts.
Some of the old items become BTA (says the wiki) if run through Catalyst crafting, so that's a small step towards better.Yes, please.
Could I just throw the old ones out I'll never use? Ye... no. Once again we are now getting a crafting system using old items. So no, not throwing them out when SSG has a habit of suddenly making old crap useful again in a few years.
It's annoying enough to grind new items, I definitely do NOT want to grind items I already had once.
Definitely. Some of the old items become BTA (says the wiki) if run through Catalyst crafting, so that's a small step towards better.
Yeah I still remember the first cycle in which we all threw out our (at the time completely useless) festival twigs right before we found out we needed them to make snowmen.Definitely.
But my point is that I can't throw ANYTHING out anymore - but SSG keeps adding systems that rely on drops from older content. So sure, some of the new items now get easier to store. Great, I love that. But the fact still remains that every single old named item in the game has the potential to be used in a new crafting system at some point in the future.
OK, not even Dan the MM lunatic is insane enough to hoard ALL named drops. But that's what SSG's systems are degined to reward. And I do not think that's a good design choice. It punishes players that give away loot to others, it rewards hoarding items in a way that can likely impact the servers, and it makes TRing a living Dolutrh.
Sure, it's a choice each player makes. But it's a choice that gets rewarded by SSG's design. Designing the game to reward players for making themselves miserable seems like a bad design philosophy to me, but it seems enshittification is the thing these days.
You mean after they nerfed the selling price of Greater Dowsing Rods.Yeah I still remember the first cycle in which we all threw out our (at the time completely useless) festival twigs right before we found out we needed them to make snowmen.
Crappy old thing that hasn't been good since MoTU is suddenly desirable again certainly does make the case for hoarding and bank-mule herds.
Nothing! It's single correct answer. We both know it. 8)So, what should be BTC?
legendary raid loot should also be bound to account, there's few things worse than feeling of finally getting the item i've been farming for aaaaannnnnndddd its on the wrong character.......All non-legendary raid items should be at least BTA. Yes, even heroic/epic raid items. Heroic/epic chronoscope items are BTA, and the game hasn't ended because of it. Very few exceptions, like jibbers. I fact I really can't think of any other non-legendary item besides jibbers that should be BTC.
Store bags/hireling folders should be BTA. BTC only discourages buying bags.
Minor artifacts should be BTA.
So, what should be BTC? Legendary raid items and jibbers. That's more than enough. And I would say, the level 29 legendary raid items, which are already starting to get outdated, could become BTA too, and over time, the items that become outdated could follow suit.
And why exactly? 8)Items should still be Bound but BTA.
