Bubble utility arti build - r10 push raid capable

The People's Champion
This is a high utility, low damage bubble arti build. It was specifically built for pushing r10 skeletons in the closet; it was played in the world 1st completion of it and was then taken into r10 VoD on a whim for getting that completion. The build was customized to deal with the various issues faced in Skeles and around of the rest of the raid member's builds. The gear isn't fully mix/maxed as I wasn't on arti before the push and choices were made to go with a gear setup that could be obtained quickly to the fill the raid spot. There's lots of ways a bubble arti like this can be adjusted and tweaked to increase damage or fill in other utility needs; but hopefully this gives players that might interested an insight into one possible build for high end content. Generally it's all about timing for them. 6s durations on both the mass bubble and single target 95% bubble with a 3min cooldown makes it interesting. In a raid like VoD, when the Orthons drop, use mass bubble so the tanks can pick them up; maybe followed by the single target 95% bubble on the tank followed by radiant forcefields on them (and it'll be back off cooldown by the next orthon phase). Different raids/quests/group composites will have different ideal timings for things. On raids like Hunt, mass bubble near the next of the fight can let DPS burn the boss while ignoring souls.

Another use for abilities, recovery after a wipe:
1) Wait until everyone is off raid/reaper timers/long cooldowns are back/etc.
2) Pop jibbers
3) Use Beckon Divinity to mass raise the party.
4) Pop single target 95% bubble on self
5) Once enough people have accepted the raises, pop mass bubble to give time for everyone to posistion for recovery
6) Run around getting buffs on people: infusions on tanks for their HP, give them radiant forcefields, deadly or GEW on DPS, etc. (before you die from the jibs).

Also really good for if something goes pear-shaped. A tank dies, pop mass bubble while an off-tank picks things up, get a rad forcefield on them (and infusion on them if they don't already have one).

It's a lot of tatical decisions for when to use stuff.

Very insightful, thank you. I never thought about making a ranged bubble artie, always thought about melee.

This build with some gearing and epic destiny adjustments was used for the R10 FoM raid completion. The change of the damage crit multi from BE lvl 20 core to lvl 12 core also helped up the damage a bit.

Does sunder evil work with shattering defenses?
No. I've mentioned it before that I wish it did. Especially since the wording is:
Sunder Evil: Using Sunder or Improved Sunder deals 1d6 light damage per character level and applies a Divine Sundering effect. The light damage scales with 200% of the higher of your Melee and Ranged Power. Divine Sundering: -10% AC, -25% fortification, -3 saving throws. Lasts 12 seconds.
It's not like there's a ranged version of sunder so it seems weird that it can scale off ranged power but there's not ranged sunder to trigger it. Shattered defenses (doing the same thing as sunder) totally would've made logical sense. I think @Tonquin was the one who did the Divine Crusader revamp; so maybe they originally intended to have a way to trigger that ability with ranged that just never got put in the tree?

I just reincarnated out of a similar bubble arti build, but instead of ranged I concentrated on casting and rune arms. Thus, Machrotech and Draconic Incarnation for epic destinies. Was doing massive damage with Greater Ruin and electrical rune arm cone blasts, but did not have electricity immunity stripping (needed tier 5 bubble more) and thus struggled against some mobs. Unfortunately, there seems to be a fairly high correlation between the rune arms that do damage which would be useful against creatures with multiple elemental immunities and rune arms that are currently bugged. Also difficult to have spell power high enough to support multiple rune arm types really well.

Still, a fairly solid build. Bubbles are great... especially the auto-bubble at 50% health and the full group 95% protection bubble for when a bunch of mobs spawn and the tank does not have aggro yet.

It's not like there's a ranged version of sunder so it seems weird that it can scale off ranged power but there's not ranged sunder to trigger it. Shattered defenses (doing the same thing as sunder) totally would've made logical sense.
Shatter Defense (Crossbow): Tactical Ranged Crossbow Attack: +0.5/1/1.5[W]: On Hit: Reduces the target's Armor Class by 5 and lowers fortification by 10%. A successful Fortitude save negates this effect. (DC 10 + INT mod + half Artificer level + Sunder Bonuses). Regardless of saving throw result target will suffer the Trauma effect, -3 penalty to fortitude saves due to shock, stacks 5 times. Lasts 24 seconds. This ability shares a cooldown with Sunder.

Technically it's Sunder, so... 8)

For the noobs here, why both fatesinger and shiradi strikes? Or do you use pin then echoes?
Few different thing.
Pin is currently broken on repeaters (and other xbows from what folks have said), so right now those points are just there to get to t5 and waiting for it to be usable again.

As for why both (if things were working right):
Pin epic strike is AoE and Fatesinger's pluck epic strike is single target with a lower cooldown. So I'd use pin for packs of mobs and pluck for single target heavy fights; gives me a choice for which epic strike to use based off the situation. For AoE burst, I can hit pin, arrow of discord, and BE's shattered defenses (another AoE). For single target burst, I can do hunt, pluck, and shattered (keep those sunder debuffs on the boss), and arrow of discord (even though it's AoE, it's a +20% active damage attack so good single target too), and caustic shot.
