Yeah. Some of us do that anyway. Repeatedly...?The one time it happened to me, I had jumped on the false monolith prior to the floor collapsing in the initial room, so perhaps this may cause a script to fail somewhere. In any case I now religiously fall into the trap every single time.

Regardless if its faster or not, it is simply D&D for it to be possible to sneak around and go about progressing quests in other ways than "Smash, run forward, smash, run forward, smash."Neither of us had jumped on the pillar.
We left, beat up some rares, did Stone Crypt Chronicles, beat up some more rares then came back to B&B and were able to complete.
IMO life locked doors need to be able to be picked. It's not like a rogue picking those locks is gonna be faster than just killing the mobs (Hush Saekee ;P).
Yeah, if "kill boss guy" is the actual quest objective, then I should get quest completion when that happens. Every objective leading up to the actual goals should be treated as signposts directing the player rather than necessary hoops to jump through.Regardless if its faster or not, it is simply D&D for it to be possible to sneak around and go about progressing quests in other ways than "Smash, run forward, smash, run forward, smash."
Edit: unless, of course, it is the purpose of the quest to, say, clear an infestation of monsters in that area in which case the quest should not be counted as a success unless the nest is cleared.
