Because the rest of the post isn't my concern. My concern is bringing up politics, regardless of side, into a conversation related to a game about dungeons and dragons. It's the same sickness - both carried to their logical conclusion. Funneh? you didn't comment on the rest of the post.
He's just PR. Go easy on Cordo for collecting a paycheck while covering... he is just PR & Marketing (OH! And Forum Moderator/PermaBanner). He's always so upbeat about it, unless he's momentarily paying attention to a comment in a live stream - good times! But on Cordo’s stream he said they fixed the biggest gripe we had by adding fallen weapons to the side chests!
Cordo should run for congress for how well he lies with a straight face.
LoTRO came after DDO which means they had more experience when designing the game thereby having cleaner code (relatively speaking). IMO they would start with the easier upgrade before tackling the "spaghetti code" of DDO (still looking for the cite from the old forums ~ after Lynnabel started; I know it was in reference to why the Stone of Change was difficult to make easier for use).If Cormyr was in response to lag, it would have been introduced LONG BEFORE giving it to LoTRO - unless LoTRO was actually the test rat. Evidence suggests otherwise.
re: Felsytn, It's funny (not) that Saltmarsh is stubborn. That just tells me they're not keeping coders because Saltmarsh is "new.". But yes, BIG shout out to USERS/PLAYERS telling us what's going on. Assuming they're a player as one never knows anymore on these interwebs, even one as regulated as this.
All I care to hear about Cormyr is when I can transfer anything to it. I'm not spending time or points or USD to build again.
I didn't think I needed to say this: I KNOW LOTRO CAME AFTER DDOLoTRO came after DDO which means they had more experience when designing the game thereby having cleaner code (relatively speaking). As to tarnsfers to Cormyr, Codovan said it may be opened up in the future but that would be after the other 64-bit servers are up and running so you can transfer to those first instead of waiting for Cormyr to eventually open up.
If you are VIP I would at least claim the first-time login bonuses if you have any for new servers.
Or anything ! Since none of it works without the rest of it, why gear at all?You do realize that you do not have to collect everything in the game!
"When in doubt, nerf about." -dev proverb.Where are the drop rates fixes and the broken gear augment fixes from the newest xpack paying customers paid for
Instead another playstyle was ruined for levelling and did nothing for lag
Then why the hell buy an xpac if im supposed to use sharn gear forever? You do realize that you do not have to collect everything in the game!
They're not new unheard of accounts, you simply didn't pay attention to them. This rhetoric you're spouting is not grounded in reality. So amazing to see these new, unheard accounts defending their baby. I am sure that huge check is in the mail.
Or may I introduce you to Stockholm syndrome. Because creating new accounts to defend this is super cringe.
so you ARE spending on "uninstall levels of awful" game...I was spending on utimate packs for destiny points but def not now cuz i can't spend those on anything useful
Sorry to see you go... hope that you'll enjoy City of Heroes!Yes, there are a million threads about cancelling.
I am leaving:
1. MD loot and mechanisms
2. lag (which i dont really have but its ridiculous it is an issue for others)
3. new server/hardware shows total developer/test fail. what am i paying for if the devs are unable to clear up years long issues?
4. disconnect between (developers) and player base
5. continuous list of attempts to remedy lag that have resulted in significant decrease in capability or failed in compromise for the attempt
6. endless efforts to drain BIG money from players
7. TR cache/banking/bank space ($$$$ and its never enough. i should never need several alts just for banks..........)
8. lack of understanding on developers part that hey! maybe not everything has to be created equal! are all having fun? then just accept there will always be imbalance and stop massive game wide nerfs to address edge cases.
Back to city of heroes, this was a giant waste of 2 years.
And still, not one heartfelt apology in the form of a professional letter from SSG.Yes, there are a million threads about cancelling.

At least anecdotally, most players I know SAY they cancelled and aren’t spending money. No i was spending before it became uninstall levels of awful this year
I don't know anyone willing to give them money now they burned all the bridges they can
This might get whales to spend again but t certainly will have no impact on the numerous casual people they lost from the repeater nerf, some are gone never to come back and others hard swear to not give money back for the fun that was stripped from the only playstyle that they enjoyed. Of course there are others like me who will find other ways to have fun in the game, but even I a person who loved cosmetics and bought coffers ill not be spending another penny because of the repeater nerf. Will play for fun until the game dies or a better game comes along. At least anecdotally, most players I know SAY they cancelled and aren’t spending money.
And then a loot weekend hit and I saw multiple people buy points for rerolls. It is what it is. They will do what they want with their money.
My point is that the doom that we feel is not felt by SSG because they can pull some levers and immediately draw more income.
If they wanted to right now they could release +9 tomes and they would get a huge influx of cash over the next few months.
