Double effect were recently added, I haven't crafted them yet. They use special components and I do not know about differences between bound and unbound but for other shards the component cost for unbound makes them pretty much useless.Double effect shards?

unbound stuff requires a higher crafting level, otherwise I am pretty sure it's basically the same other than the fact you can sell/give it to others.
I mean, I'm only around level 250 ish. . .or something in cannith crafting so I can't see everything, but I am pretty sure the unbound mirrors the bound stuff, just at a higher crafting level requirement. So, you won't see a lot of the unbound stuff until way after you can make the bound stuff.

Ok, now I see, the double effect are only available as unbound, likely because of the special ingredients they require.

I suspect that there is only the Unbound version of the new *combined prefix shards* as the developers wanted them to have a very high crafting level to make and that desired high level exceeds the level of any other Bound shards.

level 400 unbound=warder: curse resisntace+protection from evil, sabotaging: sekeer+deception, watchfull: dodge+awarness. and no one of this can be bound.
