Cannith Crafting Secrets: What’s Still Worth Making?

Fun thing about the eGoMF, rerolling the stats creates a new item. This means that any curse card you apply to it will be removed without the need for the uber rare curse cleanser.

If you're very patient with your rerolls, you can come up with the perfect two set bonuses and also a good curse.

So I have an Elder/Abishai Gem with Curse of Uncontrollable Energy and +2% spell crit damage for all my caster builds.
I have a Raven Eye/Abishai Gem with Curse of Divine Fortune for Ranged/Melee builds. That curse is a LITTLE bit better on a weapon, but offers comprehensive bonuses on a trinket as well.

I craft it with Fire Absorb 27, Parrying 4, and Insightful Fortification 55 (helpful, because all my level 20 gearsets carry over level 15 Sharn sets including armors, so by themselves they aren't enough fortification, and the GoMF takes care of that).

It's quite lovely.

edit: I went to try this out but got 'curse of masterworks' on my first try on my epic elder's+abisai gomf.

Potentially. If you're looking for one specific curse, that can be forever. If you just want to get "This is good for my build", then there are probably 20 or 30 viable curses that you can be happy with and it won't take that long or all that many curses.

I didn't discover Cannith Crafting until recently. I made a post discussing how amazing I find crafted gear compared to random loot at the same level.

I probably went a little crazy crafting gear to supplement my character's rogue skills -- as well as plugging the gaps in her defenses.

Masters gift augment at level 1. I just craft decent googles lev 1, 4, 8,12,16. At 20 only use craftable to fill in a slot.

Keep in mind that ghostly gives a stacking +5 HS/MS so you might have better mileage fitting in a named item with ghostly and either slotting HS/MS diamonds or using a swap item. The perfect stealth level 10 item is the Shadowhail cloak as it has HS/MS (+12) as well as ghostly. So with a single swap you get +17 HS/MS unless you already have ghostly! The saltmarch cloak (ML 3) with camouflage clickie adds a stacking +10 to hide as well.
