If you wish to pursuit on recovering this account, we can give you a chance to re-purchase the item that was chargedback on a new account, and wait until the payment clears, then we can ban the new account (as form of payment) and re-open your primary account. The item that was charged back was:
Masterminds of Sharn Ultimate Edition, purchased 4 July, 2024 for $32.50
Thank you,

I'd be the last one to defend SSG's customer service levels, but it doesn't sound like the fault is entirely on them in this case. The account suspension just happened and I wonder if I never tried to purchase another thing would they have shut me down. The charge back just happened maybe, I have no idea to be honest. No warning, no attempt to contact me to rectify the issue and I made 8 more purchases after the July one. Dropped another 800 or so between then and now. Frustrating is putting it mildly. I logged in yesterday, rolled daily dice, tried the purchase again and then logged for the day. Checked the ticket status this morning and that is when I found out that I was banned.
So for one FU**ING payment issue they suspended my account!!! I have more that I could say but it's honestly not worth it.
To add insult to injury, my sub runs until July of next year.
It's fairly standard practice for digital subscription companies to auto-ban accounts that file chargebacks. SSG has no control over how your CC company handled your card issues.
It is possible the chargeback did not complete until recently. There are specific processes and timeframes that card issuers follow for chargebacks which gives both the customer and the merchant time to respond to and/or dispute any chargebacks.
It looks like SSG did offer you a way to fix the problem and get your account unbanned. Have you tried that? Has Sharn been active on your account up until today? If so, their proposed solution seems reasonable.
Regarding the purchases made between July and now, if SSG's proposed solution isn't acceptable to you and they can't/won't consider any other solutions to get the account unbanned, I guess you could always file chargeback claims for the additional purchases, too.
