Card of Curse Swapping

This card would be crafted from three cards of curse cleansing and one deck of many curses

What does it do?

Place two items that have been cursed into the window that opens when you click on the card of curse swapping, this will cause the curses to swap places when the card of curse cleansing is consumed.

Edit:
Limit this so that you may only equip one swapped curse at a time, that's how they handle artificially made Primal ancient items in Diablo 3 and it works.

No can do!

card curses and their RNG is a huge revenue stream from whales, it would be fiscally irresponsible to change this to an easy button such as swapping which would significantly decrease the number of curses needed to an item that is cleansed by the cleaning card To make perfected gear.

perfect gear is not a must have to play the game it is want for those that wish to have maximized power, let the whales pay for that power, it is a huge support value for the continuation of the game.

Yeah, problem with your logic here is that they could limit this so that you may only equip one swapped curse at a time, and frankly that's how it would best be. In Diablo 3, that's how they handle artificially made Primal ancient items.

id rather them make card cursing be like a tarot reading where it draws 3 of them and you would pick one effect from that list of 3, on top of adding bound cleansing cards to saga rewards

I bet you would rather that, but none of that supports revenue generation for the game.

I personally thoroughly enjoy auctioning cleansers for astral shards that whales have paid for in one sense or another. The whales pay for much of the experience for all the other players, we must remember to thank them for their generosity.

In my opinion, the Cards of Curse Cleansing should remove a curse and create a card with exactly that curse, so you can apply it to another item. Very simple – and you'd still need to get the right curse and a curse cleansing card, which in my opinion is enough effort for the effect.

I used to sell them for 5k AS and now am lucky to get 500 AS.

The market is gone now we can use remnants for a lucky dip.

that would be a good middle ground

I'd be happy with having a cleansing card as a very rare chance when you make a deck.
When STerling's over, they are going to get way too rare again unless they do something else.

Naw, something like this should have limitations.

Let's say you spent a long time farming a powerful weapon and used a deck of many curses on it and ended up with it having the curse of the sentient meal, meanwhile you used a deck of many curses on another item that has since become a poor choice to equip and it ended up with the curse of Divine fortune, this would allow you to swap those curses around and consume the sentient meal item without it being the item you spent so long farming for.

Meanwhile, if you can only use this one one item you have equipped **Curse of exclusiveness** (Would cause items to gradually kill you like greensteel items if you try to equip multiples at once), this won't be able to be abused to obtain a full perfect set.

Additionally, imagine that you crafted a ring to use as a piece of starter gear and it ended up with the sentient meal curse, but you wanted it to end up with the Curse of the Forest's Embrace so you would have fear immunity, this would allow you to get that curse much more easily!

You know what? Personally I think this should REQUIRE that one of the two curses is the curse of the sentient meal!

You think an MMO makes all their money on whales in this game?

Clearly you have not played many MMOs. The whales in this game are not even guppies compared to other MMOs. I have played games where it can easily be seen how much someone spent by their VIP level. Some spent 100,000+USD to amass power annd run entire servers. There is nothing remotely close to that level in this game. One of the things I like about DDO is that its whoel business model is less P2W and is largely micronized on the transaction level. My suspicion is that whale income is not a huge part of there income stream and is largely driven by xpac sales and otto boxes/coffers and VIP subs.

Me personally, I buy coffers and xpac and have dabbled in ottos on my alts, and maintain a VIP monthly. I would never spend on cards or cleansing and rare reroll any chests, unless there is an item I really want, but never on a duplicate. I spend but never consider myself a whale. I do not know any true whales in this game and suspect there is a whole lot more people like me.

My opinon is that you are way off in your assumption that this is a big revenue stream for SSG/EG7. I am not saying they make nothign on it, but it is just not a major focus or concern. I am willing to bet they make far more on heart sales than this, and that is also not even a good revene stream. How hard is it to get 5 friends or boxes to farm VoN 2 twice to get enough tokens?

As for the OP, I would rather see curses (and fillagrees) implemented differently all together.

I would prefer to have a separate inventory page that allows you to equip curse, augments and fillagrees on their own and not tied to an item. They can increase or decrease effectiveness of that inventory slot and the corresponding items, and scale as per the ML. One fillagree per inv slot and one curse per inventory slot. Weapon slot can equip a total of 3 for all slots. This brings them to a total of 15.

Then the rarity of curse cleansing makes more sense. Or you run around without a curse if you never drew a good one and did not want spend in the ASH. And if you change a toon, then you still require sentient removers and jewelers kits to swap out your stuff, bu at least you can swap gear freely without losing your curse,sent/augs.

And the beauty is you leave mythic and reaper stats on gear itself. That way if you find a better version of something, you can simply swap it. Although I would content that reaper stats should be changed completely, but that is another discussion.

Card cleansers totally support revenue, because people sell them for a pile of astral shards. And the OP's suggestion needed 3 cleansers.

As for cleansers being a bad idea, I tooooooootally disagree. Though I'm never likely to use one lol, I'm likely to SELL one. It's ridiculous to make such a rare and insanely RNG bonus be permanent like it would be w/o a cleanser. That's why green steels have removers, and isle, and MD, etc.
