They already have a catch-up scheduled, and every indication is that they need more time for the archetype (and the rest of the revamp) to cook. They should just push back the release.

celebrate the dissemination of premium accounts. vip only private party is allowing you access to test their new idea of removing preimum accounts from the game and making the servers all vip without regard for the revenue stream from preimum services . the game will fade from my existence when it does.
Nothing has been done or said to suggest that. I think it is possible that there will be a VIP server that has special events.

It lines up with historical, but to have a date is definitive and I'm wondering what else may have a firm plan for DDO release stuff?

Yes there was, it was to encourage those that wanted to play the event to vip sub, and as you can see the event started at the end of the 4th quarter where they could potential increase 4th quarter earnings by driving up subscriptions, its simple business.

trying to get a premium player to register for vip by excluding them from the event if they dont. is a direct asult against them, intentionally aiming at them when they have already paid for premium services. that is alienating them . how about a free coupon for adventure packs if ftp sign up for vip? but no you would rather exclude existing premium players form the event in order to move the game toward devaluing premium membership. so not only are we milked twice we still have to purchase expansion packs to have access to the content if we haven't already purchased them. so we end up paying 2 3 times for the same content.

I don’t that badly misspelled word means what you think it means. SSG is under no obligation to provide any content they create for free. Not providing it for free is not “assault” by any definition of the word.

ok. so creating a toon on a server and then having them block you from playing it after words unless you sign up for a vip is the line you want to hold on to.

It's an opportunity to run the lanterns event, and build up some extra ddo points for any account that is not VIP. They don't delete your character, but yeah... you won't have access to it after the cut-off date. You could always go VIP to gain that access... 
This is an opportunity for non VIP's. It isn't that hard to create a toon and then delete them once you've accomplished whatever goals you have. If you feel that the time spent is not worth it... don't do this event! I created a couple of toons for my free accounts to gain the DDO points at the least. In the end, it's up to you. There is no extra charge for this and nobody is putting a gun to your head. They want you to go into the light willingly!
