Chain Missile seems to only be casting 2 volleys under certain conditions.

The spell seems to cast 3 volleys when quickened and when cast while stationary, but when moving and casting the spell normally, only 2 volleys come out.

My guess is it has something to do with cast speed.

This shouldn't matter if the spell description states 3 volleys, then it should have all three.

It doesn't. From my testing: Without quicken and moving, only 2 shots fired; having(/not having) mobile casting and/or jump casting didn't effect this.

but....

is there any difference between having quicken spell on as a feat VS having quickened always on in dropdown quickbar menu of the specific spell?

like meteor swarm bug , this is what i'm brainstorming about.

It's the reverse of meteor swam's issue. If you don't have quicken on and are moving, it'll only fire 2 out of 3 shots. And I know some might say "just always run quicken", but that's a huge spell point drain at low/mid levels.
