Chaosmancer Stormsinger Build

Here is my current endgame Stormsinger build updated with the latest gear for anyone interested. I've included some DPS test times. I am pretty happy with it overall, it has good staying power with some cheap SLA and the epic strike from Fatesinger, and solid DPS for a caster. I can also heal well enough with FateSinger Sonic and three mass heals + cure critical to do raid healing up to R1 if needed.

Why do I have 522 ddo build files
Scorp DPS EE (1 Min.)
~100,000 per minute

Stonejaw
~21s

MD Worm Time

About how many SP do you spend in a minute of pumping 100k? For estimation purposes, wanting to get a feel of how long this sort of build can run max output.

I wonder how much targeting/cooldowns etc affects Yegora times; the most recent benches I have for a Vanguard and an Inquis are ~4x as long for Yegora as for Stonejaw, so yours being 2.5x is interesting. Might have to split categories...

Thanks for posting :)

It's a good question. At one time I had Ruin and GRuin in the build, but I got sick of running out of sp in raids. It's easy to try that version you could swap out master of music, and inspire excellence for them. But you have to go T5 Draconic, and I felt like overall it was a worse build.

I think I could go for about 5-6 minutes all out. I have a lot of sp reduction, so with all metamagics on my cost for something like Thunderstroke is 39 spell points vs. 40 base. I use rings of spell storing in raids during downtime as much as possible.

It helps a lot that I am using the nearly free epic strike from fatesinger and the nearly free SLA sonic blast. The sonic blast damage isn't amazing but it's cheap filler with the fatesinger upgrade and the lightning strike procs.

To be fair, the one minute time DPS is not sustainable over 5 minutes, that is, using Wellspring, Turn the Tide, and the night revels clicky.

To me, the scorp test is just a fun thing to see if you can just dump everything and including helpless what is the top end.

The worm DPS is much more aligned with what you would get in raids, but again I used Wellspring, Turn the Tide, Night Revels clicky.

My rotation for distance targets that I don't want to get close to is Thunderstoke, Icerberg, Fatesinger Strike, Sonic Blast SLA, Sonic Blast, Chain Lightning, Ball Lightning, I barely ever get to ball lightning with the cooldown reduction.

One interesting thing with this build, because you have the fatesinger strike and sonic blast SLA, you can basically cast those forever and its not totally terrible DPS with all the procs.

I think there is a building up aspect to these casters, I have to get a lot of stacks going of the new dripping with sonic, sounding, meltfang, mantle and get the debuffs going. So I think that is probably why it doesn't do as well on stonejaw and I don't have that huge opener like adrenaline or hunts end it's more of a slow burn lol...

Yeah, T5 Draconic doesn't feel great for me rn lol.

Alright, so quite good for short raids and still fine for longer ones between cheap strikes and like SP rings :)

I used FS strike last life on a Sorc, and it felt pretty great; I don't think the AoE strikes are very good, so why not grab a single-target one?

Yeah, I'm not expecting any DPS bench to linearly scale (esp with Scorp helpless), but still good to get an idea :) Also I assume you meant 100k Scorp DPS (based on your bench times); 100k DPM I'm pretty sure you can beat with like two spells lol.

But if you can put out 2m/minute for 5 minutes, that's quite a bit of damage XD

Not worth starting with FS strike to get it off CD faster? Also have you tried Echoes of Discord? Seemed pretty decent to me, esp given it also splash heals in raids.

That makes sense, debuffs and DoT's. Was just interesting to compare the spread :)

With a pack, I will hit them with soundburst, then BoGW, and then I do use echoes of discord, my AOE rotation is Horn of Thunder, Greater Shout, Echoes, Shout SLA, Shout, Chain Lightning (rarely), Ball Lightning (very rarely).

In raids like FoM the sonic heal is pretty amazing, you can just spam shouts and do damage and mass heal everyone.

In some cases, I mix the two distances and the shorter range cone stuff. Like with the worm I will spam spells and when it pops up, throw horn of thunder, gr shout, echoes and wing away and use the longer range stuff.

For SP management, I've been trying to get an Artblade forever, but no luck yet. In cases where you don't care about healing, you can also sub Legendary Cuffs of the Forbidden and get sinister chill proccing reliably. I use that sometimes if I don't need to care that much about healing in a raid.

In terms of single target rotation, I will use FS strike, sonic blast SLA as my openers because they are so cheap if I am in the longer raids. For quests I usually start with Thunderstoke/Iceberg as they hit the hardest.

I guess I could add echoes to my single target rotation, it's kind of a weird spell I feel like it often misfires for some reason and doesn't do anything.

I do also use salted sleet storm a lot if i am running R10s. Its also great to drop for raids and boss fights for the added lightning procs.
