Character Transfer Adjustment: Wednesday, November 19th

We have made an adjustment to our transfer service that should allow characters who previously were unable to transfer due to their character data size be able to do so. Please note, however, that correcting this issue required us to increase total transfer time for these characters, so players could see these transfers take several hours to succeed. Players attempting to transfer these characters should wait at least a few hours before logging into a game world.

Does that include the "item ID conflicts" issue too; or will that be part of another bit of transfer work?

No, that work is separate, and a lot of that work has been completed. Remaining cases should work with their CS ticket to get it resolved.

I have a character that is packed and ready to transfer on Ghallanda, but does not show up (still) for transfer. Is there a fix incoming for this issue in the near future? Still in limbo... 😒
Same problem and same server. It's my only character that failed to transfer.

CS says they can't do anything and close the cases.
If you have a character with an item identification conflict and have had your ticket closed without resolution, please DM me the ticket number and we can look into it. While these tickets are waiting on individual development work to resolve, many have been completed, so if you are in the remaining group, please let me know.

I just checked my email and I finally have a response from support on my ticket placed on October 5th. (request #446810).

"Greetings,

I know many of you have been trying to transfer characters and have run into issues over the last few days. The team has just made an adjustment to the transfer service that should help characters who were previously unable to move due to large character data size.

Because of this fix, transfer times may now take several hours to complete. If you are attempting to transfer a character, please start the transfer and then wait a few hours before trying to log into the destination world. Closing the Character Transfer Wizard early can interrupt the process.

If you were getting stuck, timing out, or seeing no progress, please go ahead and try your transfer again now.

Nice. These poor sods had to wait, not only until after release of the raid, but also after the unrequested Fey event. All that and it's their fault for the size of their data footprint. Good God SSG you really are something! Oh, have removed all my credit card info off of multiple accounts, would recommend everyone do the same.

I'm not sure what the resolved issues are vs. what's still being worked on, but the problem of stuck characters (packed, not transferrable) is still a problem. But just look at the history on the ticket I'm DMing you whether it's related or not. This kind of support is unacceptable.

It's so confusing that there is still no answer on 64 to 64 world transfers. Forget the unmasked for events. It's been so many months that peeps haven't been able to play with there friends for the last 16 years. Please give us an answer that is not soon
