TY, i know this options. There are also Saltmarsh, Feywild and Borovia Weapons wich are easy to get.For the lower levels just go to the Keep on the Borderlands out of the gate, kill a few rares to get a couple of ingots. Then use them at the blacksmith to get some high damage damage weapons for the level. There are two kinds for each weapon type. One has ghostbane. You make also score some good item from the rares like a gentle descent cloak so you can check feather fall of the list for a bit. Unless you get an exceptional RNG item this gear will last for many levels.
Supposedly they scale with your level, although they are short swords. How good are Shadowblades from Feydark Illusionist?
At lv 1 you can use pretty much anything you're proficient with, but I would go with a dual augment CC weapon (Force/Light and Bludgeoning/Piercing/ Slashing (a total of +4d6 damage at lv 1)). I often use this until lv 4 where you get +2 Enhancement (actually lv 3 for CC) and +1d6 for augments and CC enchantments), bringing you to a weapon with +2, +2d6 force/light, +2d6 Bludgeoning/Piercing/Slashing, and +2d6x2 elemental damage. Here's how my tempest levels, this is assuming I'm a ranger and not a Dark hunter that life.
level 1 - Korthos Great Axe
Level 3- 9 - Bow - I'm serious, even with Tempest feats AA is really strong at low levels. I'll switch to melee weapons later
10 - Barovia stuff
12 - Greensteel - I'm 100 years old an already have it, I wouldn't bother farming it otherwise
14 - Vulkor's Edge Scimitars - these things are perfect until 20.
20- 29 - Oathblades. Can't go wrong with them. my main has Epic Chaos blades from 1000 years ago so I will use them on him
cap - Dino stuff
This all looks very familiar! Except for the Dark Hunter part.I used these for my TWF dex based dark hunter tempest:
Ferrocrystal
Bavarian
Vulkoors edge
Borderland/epic mirage
Drow/Thunderforged
Cap-Dino/Flow Piercer of Hearts
I find guardbreaking on Flow very effective, even in high skull content. And yes, I spend an extra feat for improved crit piercing.
