Cleric build for quick heroic TR (solo mostly)

Hey all,

I'm running racial TR's and I miss playing as cleric. Been running warlock for ages.

I just came back to the game. Could you recommend a good solo able cleric build to run at least a couple heroic lives?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a build file laying around, but you can just go generic fire domain cleric caster. Build them like any caster with the typical feats (quicken, max, empower, enlarge, etc.). Put your AP in Divine Disciple and just have a bunch of fun. By level 7, you'll have both holy smite spell & holy smite SLA and will be an AoE killing machine for leveling. I think there's a Strimtom build out that there if for that type caster if you need a full build laid out.

There is no such thing as a good cleric build...but with all the healing you get, you can at least grind your way through any given quest.

Barring the completely boilerplate, self-obvious options like 20 Clr Fire or Light domain casters...I'd recommend a Clonk. Monk is in a really good place and it dovetails well with Cleric, both being Wis based

6 Monk 14 Clr (take 3 Monk, 7 Clr, 3 Monk, 7 Clr), Wis>Con>15 Str>13 Dex, THFx3 Dodge Mob Whirlwind IC: Bludgeon Swords to Plowshares Master of Forms Precision, assume +2 Str tome or take first two level ups into Str. Animal Domain, follower of Aureon.

T5 Shintao, T3 Henshin, T2 Ninja, rest into Warpriest

You're a Stick monk with lots of self healing and buffs. You wont be nearly as fast as a pure Monk, but you can dish out lots of steady AOE, and Elemental Bloom makes Heroic a breeze. And being WIS based, you might be able to land some CC casting like Cometfall and GCommand in HE/R1 (though you wont be geared for Fire/Light casting)

clerics are good for heroic grind as long as you have the spell points but you can find yourself burning through alot of sp pots or sp trinkets soloing, one of the things i do to cut down on SP pots is bring a plat cleric hirling with DVs, and a shard one that also has DVS and just park them at the start and when you need spell points you summon them to you fill up. hopefully a shrine isnt that far then just rest everyone up and keep rocking till its over.

I chose Air Domain 18 Cleric and 2 Arti (traps and dog and early levels pew pew and I can't live without trapping!!!!!!). I prefer the chain lightning and I tapped Feydark Illusionist for more SLA's and Enlarge at 18 and with a few reaper points I can solo R4 with absolutely NO problems. I get the traps for 30% bonus and I did about half of my racial lives using this and half using my Arti build. Like other said, by 8ish, you're plowing thru quests with Holy Smite as an SLA (free meta)

My usual metric for a good caster life is how quickly you get your first AoE SLA. Cleric only gets stronger as you get new spells all the way up to heroic cap, so it's really the pre-10 leveling experience I consider.

With vanilla cleric you can have full ranks in the Holy Smite/Order's Wrath SLA by level 6. Combine that with Soundburst at level 3 and you're pretty well set. You can always go DA instead and get evil damage on Prayer/Bless by level 3 if you want an AoE SLA sooner.

Domains... Air or Fire is cool. If there was a domain that gave a DDoor SLA I'd take that instead. Fire is a little better for heroic leveling, probably even better with the Scorching Ray buff. Air gives +DCs and Chain Lightning is helpful for taking on enemies that are normally fire-immune since you don't get a bypass as a cleric, but you can always use light/alignment spells.

I always liked to play a Dwarven Cleric, or maybe a Human for the extra feat, but I always had the same issue: TRAPS!! I get absolutely mauled by traps. My problem is I play 99% solo, rarely getting into groups or anything. It's easy on my Warforged Pale Master with 2 levels of rogue, but my dwarf cleric just dies... so many times!

I take 1 lvl of Arti at first level, 14-16 Int (I have tomes but it's possible without). Craft or find someone to craft some trapping gear or find some in itmes. Find trap spell is critically important since it adds half your cleric level to your search so you can focus on disable and unlock and spot if you don't know where all the traps are. I can get 95% of the traps at level to 34 with that 1 level and gear. The new content in Gravenhollow is a bit tougher but at 34-36 most toons are good-to-go with traps. Just some thoughts.

Invest in tumble, and tumble through the traps. You learn all their locations fairly quickly.
