If DDO had collision detection and friendly fire, i.e. you swing the sword/great sword/<other melee weapon> and a friendly stand right in front of the swing. Oops, it hit the friendly instead of the monster.

Or a fireball, or other <AoE> attacks....

It seems collision detection only happens with enemy targets.
Forget R11...Just bring friendly fire into the mix for those who want a challenge.

'I took out all those trash mobs, as well as three of my companions.'. That is tough content, but they don't want that.

Too bad currency has no weight in DDO. EQ1 had a thing where you could manually downgrade your currency to lower denominations: copper, silver, gold, etc.. You needed the bank to upgrade. BUT each coin weighed the same.

So, we'd stand a bit too far away from the bank to interact with the banker and drop 100K in copper then stand back and watch. Yep, here comes a rude greedy kobold on a chonky (not really, no chonky in EQ1, but you get the idea). Shiney!

Picks up the copper and ... oh, so sad. Are you too heavy to move now? If only the bank was closer!

Such an open society.
It's similar to complaining about getting wet when wakeboarding. If someone is complaining about getting wet when wakeboarding perhaps it's not the sport for them. Same here, groups of people standing on top of each other at a bank is simply the way MMOs are.

I’m more displeased about people standing on their soul stone so I can’t grab it by clicking on ii, and need to use the keyboard to save their dead ass. It’s an extra burden especially when I’m the only one alive in the raid trying to grab everybody to save the wipe.

Used to have a player that was sorta that way. Liked playing Wizards. Liked Fireball spell. Was commonly heard, "I think you guys will be alright, maybe" before casting fireball amongst everyone. :D

Now maybe I am being a bit precious here, and if so please say so, but if I am stood in an empty bank, no other players in the bank at all, and someone comes in and and just stands on top of me. I view that as being very rude and I will automatically view that person as an incredibly self centred person with absolutely no idea that a world exists outside of themselves. Am I right?
Ban bait?

I can relate. One time I was using a urinal and, despite every other urinal being free, a guy chose the one right beside me. I concluded that his moral character was fundamentally corrupt.

On another note, something tells me you're an HOA president, aren't you?
It is more like going into an empty rest room with 3 urinals and using the middle one.

So let me guess...you bank on your mount?

think this is what inspired Nolan to focus on xenia in his Odyssey.
I mean, the Greek concept of "xenia", also known as Zeus's Law (the practice of showing hospitality to guests), was an important part of Homer's Odyssey (the original) and in ancient Greek life in general as well.

This is also very off topic and - given some of the extreme political talking points I've heard related to this movie adaptation - should probably be squashed and not brought up again on these forums (as these forums are supposed to be real world politics free).
