Commendations of Valor Qs

I have reached the epic levels with my first character, Ellsee, on Ghallanda server. I have been looking up information on the DDO wiki but have a couple Qs on commendations of valor.

1) Will I get enough commendations to epic reincarnate when I get to level 30?

I've just got to level 26 and have converted the commendations into heart seeds for a grand total of 12. I'm thinking that I'm unlikely to get another 30 heart seeds by the time I reach level 30. As I'm learning the quests and mostly running solo I tend to do the quests initially on epic normal and then if I'm feeling confident on epic hard. I have managed to do epic elite a few times, when there's been an opportunity to group. Should I mentally prepare for the likelihood of having to spend time farming commendations once I get to level 30?

2) Is there a reason why I may not have received any commendations as an end reward?

When I ran the Catacombs quest chain, I didn't receive any commendations of valor. There were also no fragments of tokens of the twelve in the chests. Checking the wiki, I learnt that you get no commendations if there is any xp ransack, or if you run on casual. Neither was the case as I ran on epic normal and it was my first run through. Is there another reason why they might not be given?

Nop. The good thing is. When you are at Exp Cap the quests start to given 2 seeds as end rewards instead of commendations. So, is pretty fast and easy to farm seeds to Epic reincarnate at the Cap.

What you should be worried about is to grind Tokens of the Twelve, this are the ones you need to buy the Heroic/Racial reincarnation itens.

Okay that is good to know! I'll stop worrying about it then and just enjoy questing. Regarding tokens of the twelve, I have 18 so far and still have some quests to do that give those out.

Tokens of the Twelve only drop in older (pre-Eveningstar) epic quests.
The Devs said that the Tokens weren't appropriate for non-Eberron quests, so they wouldn't appear in the Forgotten Realms. There was an implication they would appear in future Eberron quests, but that was a deception.

Hearts are only given on quest that are labeled legendary and you have to be level 30+(if you're still epic leveling you get commendations). You get 2 hearts no matter the difficulty, so that is good news. I believe you can re-run the same quest twice and get a 2 hearts each time. I have seen people claim 3, but I don't think you get it on the 3rd run. I could be wrong.

Epic quests only give commendations.

I just choose the quickest legendary quest to run.

Lords march quest fast zergs with lots of named drops with umd and a few scrolls invis, stone to flesh,

Lots of ops too xp and more nameds

Even if you don't get the commendations. All quests run legendary drop Heart Seeds instead of the commendations. Just run a few leg quests to get the rest.

Thanks for all the responses. I now have my 20 tokens of the twelve, have reached lvl 27 and looking forward to hitting 30. Really good to know that the heart seeds will start dropping when I get there.

My only remaining Q is that the catacombs didn't give any commendations in the end reward when turning in the quest. Anyone else had that happen?
