Concerns about further level increases and eventual legendary TR

Surely they will change the XP requirements. 32 million xp from 1 to 40 is insane.
Legendary Shadow Crypt & Raids with actually good experience that would make raid trains a good idea for xp when...?

I think all raids should be in the Project Nemesis / Vision of Destruction / VoN 5/6 xp category or higher. I don't get why we have so many raids that set you back on the xp front.

I would hope they are more powerful than epic past lives. 20 million experience for levels 30-40 should come with a nice reward.
The problem with powerful pastlives is if new content tends to be overscaled and balanced around having a lot of pastlives even on the de facto "default" difficulty, i.e. R1.

This is mostly noticeable for legendary quests, but also some heroics and epics.

Ex. Saltmarsh would have been a nice alternative to old lvl ~3 quests, but low xp and being overscaled for lvl 3 quests makes it not worth it unless you want the gear...

Now is the time for the xp/level to be 50k increase per level. If only. But they make too much $$$ from Otto's boxes.
If i was willing to spend the money, I'd use Otto's Boxes for heroic past lives. I hate to do them so I don't have more than 7 heroic/racial/iconics combined on any character. But at this stage I can't imagine spending on epic boxes. Sagas alone can carry you to 27 each epic life. Why spend that money to skip 3 levels? Epic lives I'll do because I'll be back at cap the next day.

I think it should be exponential XP increases from here on out.

Once we get to legendary past lives, basically capstone past lives that’ll make your character super powerful, there should be no more auto leveling.

It should take at least 1 billion XP to go from levels 36-40(Max Cap). And three times around to acquire the Legendary Past Life for that life.

Also, special Legendary XP pots will be the only thing that works for XP boosts for levels 36-40.

Well, we're stuck with a team that really believes selling creep is progression, so we're sort of expecting a 7th hamster-wheel,
regardless of them saying they wouldn't add Legendary TR'ing because of the XP mechanic.

Also, we'd still like a quest we can push Elminster off a ledge, and watch him spiral into the Demonweb while we drink an Ale.

Have they said that, no Legendary TR? I remember reading somewhere that the devs plan legendary TR? Or was that just a rumour?

But it matters if the players leveling are spread 1-19, 1-29 , or 1-39 (!). The more levels, the fewer players per level band unless delving and level lockout are removed.

Maybe for the super elite players (the 1% ?). I find defensive pastlives and RP extremely important for me to survive reaper. I don't have fast reactions, I need a LOT more defenses that "needed" for the difficulty before it feels comfortably for me.

And DCs and sometimes dps requirements in legendary are sky high, RP and PL help to get them. Especially if you don't have the "best of the best" gear (I don't). Depending on your spec Racial AP add huge benefits too, and racials are an insane grind.
The "1%" is actually more like 30% from my view... This game has chased away anyone even remotely close to the "Casual" category, so all you have left is the "1%"

Yes, I agree that content should be created around the assumption that a first life player is playing it. Past lives are there to make the game easier, not to be required to be effective. The game is much more enjoyable when you have all the epic past lives because they make the game easier. Those that want a challenge, especially in heroics, can play on R6 to R10. Past lives are not a good reason to make content harder on R1.

I know you specialize in unreasonable suggestions designed to elicit a response, but designing a system for only 1% of the players to use isn't the best idea. Most people are not going to get 1 billion experience more than once at the most, so you are basically creating a past life system that will go unused by almost everyone.

I'll be quite disappointed if they don't eventually add a legendary reincarnation. They have created a huge number of legendary quests and it would be a shame if they never add a reason to actually play them.

SSG proved they can't the level cap right without Tonquin and Cordovan admitted on the live stream that is why they haven't updated cannith crafting.

Unless they get some of that skill level I am skeptical how future level cap increases will go. They have so many producers, community people, marketing people at SSG, but they really need one skilled developer that cares like Tonquin to get this stuff done.

It's been 9 months and cannith crafting is still broke - shifter magic fang is still broke - things like light/alignment crit boosts no working with dino crafting still broke. So many myth drannor items still broke with upgrades that downgrade some stats.

I am all for more levels and progression, but can SSG ever get it right? I doubt it unless they get another Tonquin. They have few developers and seem to have more managers and support staff.
