Considering an attempt at a self fix. what do you think?

Tried playing on Shadowdale today but lag was so terrible I could not interact with mobs, or loot, could not recall, and lost chat. I had to log out.
When I logged back in I lost my mounts and pets on that toon.
I left group and logged another toon and she had no pets or mounts.
I told Guildies I was done for the day.
I go back later and those two toons still have no pets or mounts, but my other toons do.

My plan is to use /transfer pack on a toon with mounts and then /transfer unpack 20 min later on same server.
Thoughts?

Also, my shared ingredient bank is stuck on a different server. I have no thoughts on how to get it over to Shadowdale until they open transfers across new servers.

It would be foolish to do any transfers with the server in the current state.

Packed characters can't log back to the same server, they stay packed until after a transfer, which enables Unpack. People have tried, because
they forgot to put stuff on their characters before they packed, and found out it's a one-way trip.

Others reporting this issues said their mounts, companions, etc came back with time.

for a little perspective, many of us still have not been able to transfer our toons after 3 days of perpetual failed attempts...good luck, i hope your ddo experience improves.

Meanwhile on Orien.... groups are sparse but things seem to be running fine for the moment.
