I ran into same problem. Someone on Twitch suggested trying a different browser and specifically suggested Chrome. Haven’t had time to test on Chrome yet. When I hit the link to download, my computer said the file could not be downloaded safely.
Yea, that's probably to be expected with data servers for Cormyr being in North America West as opposed to normal servers being East.My experience with Cormyr is pretty bad. The latency for me was 170-175 ms (compared to 105-110 ms on live servers).
Central European timezone.
Cormyr's data center is in Los Angeles, California. I'm surprised it's that bad though. I would have thought no more than an additional 15 to 20.My experience with Cormyr is pretty bad. The latency for me was 170-175 ms (compared to 105-110 ms on live servers).
Yeah, it was not great for me, either. That latency is really annoying to play with, for me anyway. My experience with Cormyr is pretty bad. The latency for me was 170-175 ms (compared to 105-110 ms on live servers).

Las Vegas but close enough.Cormyr's data center is in Los Angeles, California. I'm surprised it's that bad though. I would have thought no more than an additional 15 to 20.
I can add that I am also from Europe and my connection on Orien is also around 110ms and very stable. On Cormyr the connection is very unstable at 180 to 380ms. (Sometimes even with packet loss up to 3%). I expected a +70ms in latency but I didn't expected an instability in the line. I cannot understand how the line can be so unstable because the route followed by packets should be the same form Europe to East cost (and than to West cost) so is the problem the communication from East cost to West coast? My experience with Cormyr is pretty bad. Have you also experienced latency spikes? See post 17 plsPlaying from Denmark, Europe my latency went from 95ms on the normal server to 160ms on Cormyr.
I expected a slight increase, maybe +20ms, but certainly not +65ms. The physical distance does not warrent that large an increase so something else may be causing a bottleneck.
I really hope you can find a route from Vegas to Europe with a lower ping or I fear that many European players will simply jump ship. 160-175ms rather than 90-100ms is just a much worse experince.
I am curious how this effects people on the east coast of the US, so maybe someone from that area could post how their ping has changed.
Edit: Currently getting "Failed to que for server". Maybe because my character copy is in progress though that is usually almost instant. Will see if I can log in to check zoning time and maybe run part 1 of shroud.
