Let's use the Lamannia forums here for general feedback about today's stress test for Cormyr and your experiences in general with the preview today. If we need to do separate threads as well for topics we can.

experienced lag a rubberbanding in IOD Standard): You are on server 42 at r4 lx423 ly575 i12 ox154.38 oy142.17 oz158.14 h244.7. Game timestamp 426015.687. At 12:18 EST Toon was dvinesword Framerate id 75 no packet loss and 72ms latency

Catastrophy: the rooms with massive breakables did NOT lag when everything broke.
Newcomers: Moving platforms seemed smoother than I'm used to.
Into the mists: ran around the whole place aggroing everything, no significant lag even with the whole zone aggroed

All on lvl15 chars with multiple past lives and over 50 reaper points (Reaper points shouldn't have mattered as none of the quests were entered on reaper due to level restrictions)

Well what. I ran into a fatal crash thing. I ran a quest, then alt-tabbed to Firefox and started watching a YouTube video. Few minutes later, the computer froze, started to emit a repetitive sound. I had to turn off the computer manually.

My computer doesn't really crash much normally. But I am not sure what caused the thing.

My experience with Cormyr is pretty bad. The latency for me was 170-175 ms (compared to 105-110 ms on live servers).
Central European timezone.
Yea, that's probably to be expected with data servers for Cormyr being in North America West as opposed to normal servers being East.

Cormyr's data center is in Los Angeles, California. I'm surprised it's that bad though. I would have thought no more than an additional 15 to 20.

I'm on the west coast (SoCal) and I'm showing a 16-17 average latency. I"m on lunch break right now and my pipe at home isn't quite this good, so I will be very curious to see what I get there. I suspect somewhere around 20 ms @ home? Will update and edit later, but so far from this neck of the woods, things look great (connectivity wise)!

Couple of immediate observations after a couple of attempts at Ruinous Schemes (Sharn) on Reaper 1 on a LVL 32 Warlock.
Firstly latency.
Up to 150ms from 84ms. This is from the UK. Expected due to datacentre being on the West Coast of the US rather than the East but not particularly helpful. If this will be a permeant location move.......
Much, much slower to load into zones. Every single loading screen running a 3-5 seconds slower than on live servers.
Can live with the extra loading times not sure I'm going to be able to live with the increased latency.

Yeah, it was not great for me, either. That latency is really annoying to play with, for me anyway.

"VIP Loyalty System" rewards should be added to the things that break when you transfer a character. I have the +10% durability award from September, but I have the Icon that directs you to Violet Peregrine.

Is "Shop 'Til You Drop" supposed to give Spooky Almonds? You guys have traditionally done 2 quests per ingredient, and "Getting Ahead in Lordsmarch Palace" is now the only quest that gives Caramels.

Playing from Denmark, Europe my latency went from 95ms on the normal server to 160ms on Cormyr.

I expected a slight increase, maybe +20ms, but certainly not +65ms. The physical distance does not warrent that large an increase so something else may be causing a bottleneck.

I really hope you can find a route from Vegas to Europe with a lower ping or I fear that many European players will simply jump ship. 160-175ms rather than 90-100ms is just a much worse experince.

I am curious how this effects people on the east coast of the US, so maybe someone from that area could post how their ping has changed.

Edit: Currently getting "Failed to que for server". Maybe because my character copy is in progress though that is usually almost instant. Will see if I can log in to check zoning time and maybe run part 1 of shroud.

Everything character-related, level-up/switching to "Feats" tab/etc. lags.
Even the Enhancements/Destinies windows can show up with a little lag. And leveling up can hung the game with the Windows' "this upplication does not respond" dialogue. (Though, it resolves itself).
Well, pretty much like I see it on Live servers.

The bank's work is amazing. 🥰
TR Cache with 200-something items shows up almost immediately and works a way faster than on Live servers.
(However, the shared bank/materials are empty because they are not carried over. Who knows how it would work if they were full. It works significantly faster, though.)

Didn't see any lags in the quests.
Still, got some very quick micro freezes in the Marketplace. A character just freeze for a blink of an eye and immediately continue running. It's happening a way to fast to look at FPS/Latency.
(Latency on Live for me is usually around 100-110, on Cormyr - 180.)

I can add that I am also from Europe and my connection on Orien is also around 110ms and very stable. On Cormyr the connection is very unstable at 180 to 380ms. (Sometimes even with packet loss up to 3%). I expected a +70ms in latency but I didn't expected an instability in the line. I cannot understand how the line can be so unstable because the route followed by packets should be the same form Europe to East cost (and than to West cost) so is the problem the communication from East cost to West coast?
Can some dev please explain this and how will be addressed? Thanks.

Have you also experienced latency spikes? See post 17 pls

I played a little before heading to bed.

Zoning seemed fine. I didnt see any spikes in latency but admittingly wasnt paying much attention to that.

I ran Leg Shroud p1 - and got no or very near no lag running up to the chests. Something I dont believe I have ever seen happen before. Though we only had 2 people in the instance not 12.

As the raid was very easy it didnt really let me get a feel for how bad the extra latency plays out.

So, atleast thats possibly a good sign.
