Cormyr, has lost it's reason to transfer to. 50% of new players leave, why?

What can be done to help Cormyr's future?

Most modern games offer all content but the latest big expansion for free or at least as part of a reasonably priced package, not nickle'n'dime players charging 100s of USD for 10+ year old content. Nobody is gonna stick around once they find out that 95% of the game is behind and paywall, that is if they even decide to stick around because the low-level free quests are some of the oldest and least enticing in the game.

In the past, this is where the VIP sub would come in, offering essentially "trial" access to all content for a reasonable fee. But for years now, VIP can no longer fill that role because it doesn't give access to some of the most relevant content that most current players have gotten years ago, for free or at a heavy discount.
How does the business make a profit? What do they charge for?

And when the player numbers become unsustainable to justify the cost of running it?
Is the trajectory really that alarming?

While Cormyr is less popular than Thrane and Shadowdale... Primetime Cormyr is still doing way better than any of the old servers.

I am only basing it on the OP's title, and the likely outcome of the upcoming server transfers.

DDO audit doesn't seem to be working on my mobile, what population does Cormyr get up to?

Roughly half of Shadowdale; 500ish primetime, 125ish lowest point, average weekdays between 250-300; average weekends 350ish - assuming I read it right, not gonna invest much time or effort into this one way or the other.

So, approximately what Orien or Argo had. That's not quite "way better" than the old servers.

Though... I think it is fair to say that when Orien hit 450+ it was never a good experience

I think that Cormyr should stay as is for now.
After the 64bit to 64bit transfers resolve we will all have a better idea of the outcome.

I really like the idea of a constant HC server. I believe it would be the best renewal the game needs.

I wouldn't make Cormyr to the HC server. I would start a new one. And if needed I would merge one of the servers too the 3 others after.

Cheers

... nah, Cormyr is sporting over 30% more than what they were, I must've been unclear or must be grossly misremembering the numbers of 2023/2024.

How dramatic. I don't see Cormyr having population problems. It has a healthy population. On the contrary, Thrane and Shadowdale have had lag issues (not 100% resolved) because they have too many players for what this game seems to support (too low in my opinion, but... it is what it is).

Yes, Cormyr currently has a larger population than the old servers. There's no reason to be dramatic.

Lol lollololololol

To answer your question : Nothing. Won't know if anything needs to be done until it's time to do it, no matter the wealth of data you utterly make up and estimate.
