Cormyr Server

I've just returned to the game after a little break time, and since I came back I've only played one or two quests a day, playing slowly and enjoying it, honestly it was the best choice I made, and it seems that starting to play on Cormyr before the world transfer started seems to have been a good choice too, seems less laggy than the other servers, or not, maybe I'll go to the more populated worlds when free transfer between 64-bit worlds starts.
My satisfaction with DDO seems to contrast with so many posts from dissatisfied players, or maybe I've actually been lucky enough to only see those who complain about the game, anyway.
What do you guys do when you log into DDO daily? Do you rush through several quests to get a new reincarnation or do you play little by little?

Ps: This is my currently build i've been following, i've found a build on the forum with Dhampir as an Eldritch Knight it has been a lot of fun.

People who are happy and content usually just play the game and don't bother posting about it. So voices that post tend to be more about issues folks have.

Yeah, That could be it, I forgot to ask in the post, but how's the lag on the other servers? Thrane particularly? I'm thinking of going there when (if) transfers between 64 servers open.

Im playing on Cormyr too. I take breaks from time to time. Three months was the longest i can remember.

Playtime varies a lot for me depending on time. I start to feel guilty if there is something or someone in RL i am neglecting. I play 2-3 times per week sometimes for as little as an hour or as much as 4 hrs (4 hrs is usually my upper limit now). I dont bother logging on every day for rolls.

If players complaining about DDO bother you then you should probably avoid the forums lol. The game is far from perfect and people should complain when the Devs take a wrong turn. It is only feedback at the end of the day and I believe it has gone a long way to making some improvements to the game.

I like EK a lot too. It is probably the best hybrid melee caster you can play with very little effort.

My favorite character atm is my Caster Cleric at level 24 now. I play at R1 first life characters generally soloing most of the way. I use my reaper points and enjoy playing towards the next point that gets further and further away as i progress lol. I use equipment i find and dont spend time farming at all. I am a very casual player.

I basically have the same playstyle as you, actually it doesn't bother me that players complain per se, as this is absolutely necessary for the game to improve, only some posts seem more like "trolls" or pure "rage bait," inciting players to start a riot, etc., but as you yourself said, in the end they are just criticisms that ultimately aim to make the game better.
I'm really enjoying these hybrid builds, can you tell me what other viable ones exist?

I started on Cormyr for the Lanterns in the Mist event; however, I chose to largely remain on Cormyr after transfers begun because I knew there was bound to be a slew of unforeseen problems with potentially no solution or a far less-than-satisfactory outcome on new 64 bit servers players are trying to intentionally saturate. Watching people essentially divide Thrane and Shadowdale between 'endgame elitist' and 'casual' populations like Cormyr never existed was a big sign. I may move some toons when that time comes, but for now I haven't had any bad gameplay on Cormyr for so long I would writhe in anguish to have to deal with what Thrane and Shadowdale peeps complained about.

How are EK builds nowadays? Still OP? Or are they just playable now?
EK was never OP. Although it was good in the past.

Currently, it's still good for leveling heroics—it's not by any means the fastest leveler, but EK builds are easy to level and build. EKs are completely destroyed in the endgame, victims of the over-specialization that has killed gish and generalist builds (good luck getting DC for Lamordia with a hybrid, lol), the magic nerf at R7+ (which affects not only spells but also imbues), the nerf to EK imbues, and the excessive buffs to pure martial classes.

If you are just playing casually then you need to lean in on either melee or casting with a heavier investment to make any hybrid build work.

If you are wanting to have it all on one character you wont be able to.
