Cosmetic bank tab

We've been asking for this for years. We've been told its not feasible because behind the scenes somehow our cosmetic items are attached to real items and have more data? attached to them then we see. That being said, it just tells me that cosmetic items were coded poorly from the start and much like mounts not having separate barding that we could apply to them... the devs consistently fail to understand how players see, and use cosmetics and therefor do not design them with player convenience in mind.

Seems simple honestly. We can store them in the bank already so that's not the problem. When I equip the cosmetic helmet, the game knows that it goes in the cosmetic slot. Which means there is a variable that makes them unique. Seems simple to make a bag or tab that looks for that variable.

to imgur over six years ago when I proposed a cosmetic bank tab where we could view the cosmetics on the paper doll window and also have new cosmetic slots for reusable hair dyes, hair styles, and cosmetic auras such as displacement, thunderforged smoke, etc. But instead they developed cosmetic feats such as the eyes, wings, footsteps.

It seems simple but they've told us the items are not as cosmetic as they appear to us. They are not different enough from gear that actually equips to go in a separate BTA always-accessible inventory like mounts and pets.

I'm not saying I don't want a cosmetic wardrobe... I very much want one... I'm saying we've been repeatedly told its not worth their time and effort to make it happen.

Fine, then dont link glam, but direct cosmetics, example ex packs, event cosmetics, weird ones like wheloon put them in a tab like mounts and pets. The male cow been calling them when they give this excuse.

That might have been the case back then. But we can even filter for cosmetics in our bank. I think it's time to make the request again. I believe the vast majority of players want a cosmetic shared bank, even if it has no preview function.

Would love this, I really enjoy playing around with my toons looks every life, really dont' enjoy the inventory shuffle that accompanies this and trying to remember where I stashed things.

this would be the way to go. i really like it. dematerialize, not storing. but any way for us to store cosmetics would be fine, the total lack of attention for cosmetics system&sales is the most fiscally irresponsible thing ever in a mmo.

since we have zero options to store cosmetics, why waste time to develop a closet when maybe, a big maybe, it is possible to jump to a next level? i know i'm ranting, but....

Not to mention there is precedent for non-item cosmetics. Pets and horses.

for everyone who purchases the larger bundles for expansions we get ( X )amount of Cosmetic gear each time which then takes up much needed bank space , your banking system overhaul was great , crafting tab addition was well received , now just add a Cosmetic tab Please !
I really like buying the top tier version of the expansions for all the extras, but it's getting hard to find a place for all that extra stuff, so I'm holding off on buying more. If more people are like me in terms of holding off on spending money, I'd think that alone should be something that might trigger the development of a wardrobe feature or a new bank tab like the "Crafting Storage" tab in the shared bank.

Yes, this is a great idea! I toss most of the cosmetics unless a mule can wear one and avoid expansions options with lots of cosmetics so yeah, please add a cosmetic tab or storage area!
