Cosmetics and customizing looks

Introduced a few friends to the game a while back and one of the first things they asked about was how to change the appearance of their current gear, because they had been holding on to older gear that they had liked the looks of more. We also play other mmo's such as GW2 where obtaining gear permanently unlocks the costmetic option for your account and an item (such as the mirror of glammering) would be used for each cosmetic change.
In those games however, such items are very easy to come by (logging in each day will grant atleast 1 per week for example) where as the mirror of glammering is rather rare and hard to come by.

Suggestions: Can we get more cosmetic slots on characters to for appearance purposes: Boots, Gloves, maybe even split head into head and goggles.
Also get easier access to mirror's of glammering: Higher chances from daily dice, cheaper on ddo store to encourage people to use them more liberally.

If you play every day, you will eventually get Mirrors from dice rolls. I have probably around 15 of them kicking around in the bank that I don't know what to do with. They go on sale every now and again, too.

In an ironic twist of events, I happened to get 3 more from my rolls today.

I suggest to the company to Add More cosmetic skins to the store. There are very limited options at the moment and there is no proper way to preview most of the items (by the way the preview system seems to be bugged at the moment, it opens a separated window on desktop and the appearance does noe show on your character).

I sympathise with the OP.

As they are BTA you can't trade them or obtain them from the AHs.

So you're left with hoping for a favourable daily roll, random drops, or buying from the store.

245 Points is expensive IMO (not sure if they go on sale but even then you're probably only looking at a modest discount), and lowering the price point to say 95 Points would likely increase uptake and allow folks to farm them using favour more reasonably, encouraging content activity in the process for those keen on such things.

Dropping them from being BTA would alternatively/also be of help.

I wouldn't hold your breath on either development though.

As Comfy says, in the long term you'll likely end up with more Mirrors than you know what to do with from the RNG Gods. But I get that's not a short term solution and must be quite frustrating for new folks in particular.

It would be nice if they separated goggles and helm cosmetic slots so that we could wear glowing eyes with hoods/circlets/face masks. Obviously if there is a clipping issue with certain item combinations then we players should understand that things aren't going to be recreated to fix all the possible issues but it should be left up to the player if they can deal with a minor issue if it allows them to have new cosmetic combinations. Like say Death's Smile with Glowing Eyes or the Big Top with Rose Colored Goggles or Overlord Helm with Four Eyes (Goggles.)
