Cost of Fragment of Reaper Power.

At current we have to save up 75 fragments of reaper power in order to apply one Reaper bonus to any of our pieces of gear including weapons and shields/orbs.
Personally, I do like the farming part of this game however to get these 75 fragments takes a very long time. As a part time player, I average 2 fragments a day while full time players may see an average of 6 fragments per day. By the time we farm enough fragments (1050) to fully reaper bonus to up to 14 pieces of gear, new content will have come out. Personally, I get bored of playing one class and need to change it up to another setup which means farming to curse another set and apply reaper bouses to them.
I have talked about this topic to many people and most of us agree that the cost of reaper fragments is just too much. While others would like to turn the reaper bonuses into an augment of its own that way we can transfer the reaper bonuses to other pieces of gear.
Why would it be unreasonable to see the cost of 75 fragments of reaper power become reduced to 25 fragments or less?
There must be a way players can complete a full set of reaper bonuses to their gear and be comfortable working on more gear sets for different play styles.

My understanding is that reaper crafting is not the intended path to get your reaper bonus gear, just a mercy system so all the "wrong" reaper drops don't feel like such a total waste.

Personally I would love to see them add the generic bonuses into the crafting system, which would allow for weapon/trinket.
Maybe change slot specific bonuses to cost 50 and have generic bonuses be 25.

sounds like you are cooking up a lot of frags at your rate.

The fastest frag period for me was the Treasure hunter loot +30 weekend booster. Then I hit heroic Feywild, Gatekeepers and Saltmarsh short quests on R1-3 with my level 5 parked toon and did cheap chest rerolls. I got 26 frags over a couple of days. I only hit quests that my build could defeat quickly (like stealthing Home of Memory, or Knight who Cried Windmill). I have not found it so successful with a +20 loot potion but did not test the +20 much.

Otherwise, I hardly ever get them.

I still think it would be a good idea if you could obtain Reaper Fragments by killing reapers. This could work similarly to the Token of the Twelve system, where instead of receiving a full fragment for killing a reaper, you would earn parts of a fragment. For example, 100 parts could combine to form one full fragment.

The drop rates could vary based on the type of reaper: Carnage, Fear, and Plague reapers might drop 1–10 parts per kill, Vengeance and Despair reapers 10–20 parts, and Doom reapers 15–30 parts.

This system, in addition to the current method, could make it faster to complete a reaper boost. Furthermore, I believe it would add more enjoyment to the game by providing a tangible reward for killing reapers, rather than it being just an added difficulty.

Reaper bonus should be rare, thats why is it so expensive via fragments. IMO nothing wrong with it. However the problem is the crafteable reaper bonuses are too weak for that 75 reaper fragments.
The +2 stat bonus, +5% AC bonus and the ring bonuses are fine but the rest (trinket, goggle, gloves, bracers and cloak) is just meh.

Wow! 😲 I got 15 reaper items last life, running R1 1-30.
Dang, you must be super lucky. The wiki implies that reaper items never drop from R1, but I know the wiki is wrong because we've gotten 1 reaper item to drop back when we just started doing Reaper and we were only running R1. We're pretty much running R4/R5 constantly nowadays, but we still rarely see reaper items drop. Like once a week.

I did not see this implied anywhere on wiki, maybe I'm blind.

But reaper items definitely drop on R1 and always have, only that lvl 1 reaper items can't be fragmentified.

I don’t have a link, just my flawed memory, but if I recall correctly, a developer once mentioned that the chance of getting a reaper boost is the same regardless of whether you play on R1 or R10.

not to derail but for me, this should have been the reaper system, not the trees

100% yes on make the reaper bonus an augment bonus. They likely can't/won't do that as it would require normal loot that drops with a reaper bonus to come with the aug attached, allowing us to move those augs.
they can add augs slots . they did it before when they did the huge loot revamp/balance update. and i love that . it makes it so you can customize your gear . and that the main reason we all play ddo. but as of late things have got way out of hand. there no foresight into how classes and trees will stack with each other. i seen many players running some busted builds that have took down raid bosses in secs . not mins. dooms vaporized into nothing. as the game sits now it just not fun . we need dev to look into what i talking about here.

from what i understand it's 1% per skulls on named chance. but yes a clear answer from a dev will be great on this topic

I agree and now with rare mechanics its even stupider but 50 they might do 25 i doubt it

and at the very least give us a new npc that will take all the frags we farmed with time and money instead of having to delete them
