Curse cleansing cards - what are they good for?

I now have several curse cleansing cards. They do not stack and each takes an inventory slot. I have no idea what curses are, how they work, or where to get them. Do they kick in during legendary levels? Are "curses" good or bad? Should I keep these curse cleansing cards for something in the future?

There are 4 types of cards, 12 of each lets you place a curse on your item and it can be either good or bad for you. Well, maybe not bad, but not useful Cleansers lets you remove the curse to have another go.
I only had 1 cleanser and used it on a very rare helmet I got, which became +2 bluff curse. I removed and got a pretty great one +1 bard song. Its very RNG and luck based, but kinda fun

Seriously? You have several??? You must be very LUCKY.

If you don't need them but you could use some shards instead then sell them on the ASE for 1000-1500 shards each.

Server depends, last time i bought cleanser on Orien for about 460 AS or so (auction without buyout). 4k is greatly overpriced for Argo or Orien.

All the posters here that are trying to convince you that it should go for 460 or a 1000 are all decieving you in the hopes that you will be one of the suckers that sells it for so cheap. The whales will pay and you an and will get atleast 4k AS, just be patient, they seek power and cleansing cards can lead to power.

It wont matter which server 4k AS is an easy guarantee that someone will buy it.

I sell all of mine and 4k isn't some set value that magically happens; I haven't had a card sell for that much in quite a long while. Different servers have different economies and some servers have broken astral shard economies. Sometimes the market is flooded with cards, sometimes it isn't. Some servers have lots of shards floating around, some don't. With shard exchange, there's no fee unless an item sells (the initial shard spent to list is refunded on failure), so always start high and reduce over time for each listing price. It does mean relisting every 3 days and hoping to get the most the market demand currently supports.

I had a curse card on auction house for 1,2k for a couple months on Khyber, then a while longer around 900. "Easy guarantee 4k" spoken like someone who has no clue what they're talking about.

In fact, there is one about to time out right now on Khyber for 1300 - I'm sure the whales will flock on over to transfer a toon to Khyber, buy shards, buy the cleanser, and transfer back any moment now

Lowest Buy Out I'm seeing right now is 1350, highest is 1500.

Lowest Current Bid is 1000, highest is 1400.

They are good as a trade good. Kind of like gold in real life

This might be true on the leaser populated servers with not nearly as many whales, but argo and orien are definitely full of whales especially orien.

I can see value in the fact that some servers are skewed by having a limited number of purchasers and dont have nearly as many end game raid pushing players.

I would still start at 4k minimum and repost it for a month or so before i would ever consider lowering the price, or just hold onto it until there are none available at some lower price.

The great thing about the cursed card system is that every time new gear appears, the whales need more of these.
