Dark Hunter Artificer Rogue - comment

Hi, All
I'm testing an inquisitive build but undecided which class to use for the last 4 level,
Rogue 1 for for skill
Arti - 4 level for crossbow, runearm & 1 extra feat
Dark hunter - 11 for BAB, hit dice & some ranger feat. Choosing DH instead of normal ranger is for trap skill.

Crossbow for weapon, medium armor

Inquisitive - main enhancement
Harper Agent for intelligent hit/damage
Renegate Master - 6 point for shield in medium armor.

Comment please what to choose for last 4 level.

So the typical approach is rogue 12 / Dark Hunter 6 / Artificer 2 for lots of sneak attacks: 6d6 rogue levels + 3d6 Improved Sneak Attack epic feat (req's rogue 12) + 2d6 DH levels + 6d6 Scion of the Ethereal Plane + whatever Enhancements you can pickup along the way. [E.g., 41 Inquisitive / 12 Harper Agent / 11 Deepwood Stalker / 13 Assassin / 3 Dark Hunter is +6d6 sneak attack +3 Imbue dice with Bleed the Weak & Sniper Shot if I'm adding right.] Presuming Shiradi is your primary ED, you can put remaining points into Shadowdancer for more sneak attacks.

Less rogue for more Artificer and/or Dark Hunter levels means giving up sneak attacks for...well, I'm not sure. I guess you want more protection from medium armor and maybe a Dark Hunter past-life? So maybe Dark Hunter 15 / Artificer 4 / rogue 1? That gets you level 4 spells, four Favored Enemy feats, and 4d6 sneak attack from DH levels. Also means you only need DEX 17 for Combat Archery instead of DEX 21 for Improved Sneak Attack, since Improved Precise Shot is free.

One minor benefit of Artificer 6 is you gain access to Insightful Damage buff, which saves you a few APs from Harper Agent; i.e., instead of needing 12 APs for T3 Strategic Combat, you only need 6-8 APs for INT to hit and Know the Angles. Depending on how far you're trying to spread your APs, that might be more useful to you than the last few DH levels.

E.g. Dark Hunter 12 / Artificer 8 could go for 41 Inquisitive / 23 Dark Hunter / 11 Deepwood Stalker / 6 Harper.
