Lower your expectations, if you expect nothing thatln you will never be disappointed.

if you are asking for the durability bonus, yiu can see by the weekly sales that it is set up so xp pots will be bought at a 15% discount for peole wanting to get a boost on finishing lutes.

I'm not logging in for a stingy 5% XP bonus.
Especially since other weekends have been 10%, it's like they are hearing our cries and evolving backwards.

"We know you want more, so here's less"
I honestly can't believe this is still the normal and they are doing everything in their power to deter customers away from the product.

+5% has been the standard for it since the bonus days program began, although it's true that we have on occasion increased the bonus.

I think they've forgotten that the purpose of Bonus Days (and seasonal events) is to induce people to play this game, instead of whatever other games they're playing (as I'm sure there is a fairly linear relationship between amount of time logged in and amount of dollars spent).

But weak bonuses and events with 0 new loot don't accomplish that.

For instance, if Snowpeaks festival had included new +1 and/or +3 festive augments, a lot of people would have spent every waking moment farming them. SSG has the ability to drive a lot of player engagement with very little effort/dev time/cost, they just don't leverage it.

For some reference:

During year 2023 we either had +5% VIP Bonus with +25% Heroic/Epic EXP Bonus, or +15% VIP Bonus.

During year 2024, any DDO Bonus Day with a VIP EXP bonus was either +10% or +15%.

For year 2025 I'll list it below. It ranges from +5% to +10%, but often coupled with a secondary bonus:
  • Mar 13 - 10%
  • Apr 24 - 5%
  • May 22 - 5% & +5 Treasure Hunter Boost
  • Jun 12 - 10% & Double Commendations
  • Jul 17 - 5% & Mysterious Remnants
  • Aug 14 - 5% & +5% Reaper EXP
  • Sep 11 - 5% & +50% Guild Renown
  • Oct 9 - 5% & +25% Crafting EXP
  • Nov 6 - 5% & +5% per group member
  • Dec 4 - 10% & +50% Challenge Rewards
  • Dec 25 - 5% & +10% Heroic/Epic EXP

So there is a reason folks are calling this DDO Bonus days weekend weak. In the past 3 years we've only had this low of a lone VIP EXP bonus once.

The real bonus of the 5% VIP weekend is that fewer people will login so those of us that do might have a better shot at being able to move on our guild ship.
