You didn't miss the meme. It has not been in the game for months (more specifically last treasure hunter weekend was in December 2025). Chris started the trend with asking "where treasure hunter" and myself and others jumped in.

Working on it means you guys are doing something behind that scenes with it, which is expected because it was doing completely the opposite of what you guys have mentioned a few times..

and if they are making it do exactly what they say it does, then "working on it" should mean we will not care about it at all when it returns. Hopefully the inverse is true and they figure out exactly how it is boosting things that we do care about and simply start advertising it properly.

That is exactly correct. If they cannot return it or choose the words "working on returning it", more than likely means they are altering how the bonus is affected and interpreted; which in turn also means that I will not care for any weekend bonus except involving experience through heroic/epic experience or VIP bonus to experience.

Which is honestly sad. I'm glad other people can get use out of other weekend bonuses, but changing a bonus that everyone wants because it is doing the opposite of what it should is just rough.

@Ahser As for the "succubus hunt", it was part of the Traveler thing, and not as glamorous as it sounds.
