You pay the difference, as noted on the website! That was a new feature we added last year to the marketplace so we can do fun discounts like this. So if you are a current edition owner and want to take advantage of the sale to get an upgrade, you can do that!

Sadly those are two very separate systems that don't cross over with one another. If you get the store version, that's one version. The website/market version is separate.

Assuming that you can actually buy anything - tried to buy points and firstly sent me a page to enter credit card details which wouldnt actually accept any input, then when i tried again later just said purchase cannot be completed. Maybe they dont want my money!

Definitely second this - seems like an oversight. Sharn similarly lacks upgrades, it seems

Also, it still lists "Epic Destiny Access" as a perk in some of the older Market packages...that might be confusing since the system itself is now free to access
