Before I knew it was an SSG problem I assumed it was my issue (because some useless 3rd party site said it was just me down....) so I tried several things to fix it - one being 'repair the installation'. :devilish::eek:. So, even though I have fast internet, I'm now waiting hours for the s/w / game-data to re-download....ho-hum.
After about 4 hours, I'm half-way there....

yeah this
Good luck getting a straight answer. The fact that there hasn't been one by now tells you everything you need to know. Probably something as simple as cleaning crew accidentally yanked on the power cord lol.

I had a fire inspector come in and drop one of our buildings because they pulled a power plug to one of our racks and didn't say anything about it.

We just had an A/C failure in our data-center a couple of weeks ago. It got up to 133° F before we caught it and the proper peeps were notified (who should have known about it before us....) Suffice it to say... some damage was done. Having environment sensors is not a bad idea! ?

Hunting down "teh stoopid" unfortunately is a real thing. ?

It's not really the actual cause that bothers me. I don't care why it happened. It is the fact that they did not do jack all this weekend but strung everyone along like some kind of battered housewife. We all know it and so do they which is why they have gone radio silent on it.

I'm not mad, just disappointed. Unfortunately this is just what I've come to expect from this company and why I never stick around long.

It's not even like I am anti SSG. I am happy to lavish praise on them when I think they do something good.

I wish they would change but it is what it is. I would have so much more respect for them if they just said hey we aren't sure why the game is down but its Easter and we can't send anyone to fix it so see you guys on Monday morning.

The problem Toede is that you don't know, you just think you do. That's not a jab, I think we all feel a bit mis-treated (neglected?) at this point.
The lack of information is irritating and frustrating from an end user POV. The down time affects them worse than it does us for sure. I would just say it is better to not be overly presumptuous. With that being said... I remember this old commercial and I would say it "feels" fitting...

prove it

besides.. no one was dying ...I can imagine how bent this crowd gets when there's a real emergency, maybe I'll go buy stock in underwear companies. People were clearly pooping themselves without their precious ddo

if I were on staff, I'd go in game today and 'really' mess with some these snotty players

clicks unwatch

ps..not calling out 1 player w that quote;) that quote was just chance/there's a zillion messed up comments to choose from in this thread

I don't need to prove it, sir.

The game was brought up as soon as they came into the office and then nothing at all was said other than see you in game!

In any case, I have this bridge...

correlation and causation, I think there is a saying about that.

It's like a merry-go-round. Sometimes I have a hard time understanding how we became the dominant species on this planet. Enjoy the game folks. I'm done ranting.

@Cordovan big thank you to you and those who had to give up their personal time and scramble to fix whatever happened. There's never a good time for such a thing, but a holiday weekend that people were planning to enjoy spending with their families, friends and loved ones is even worse.

Glad it got fixed, though -thanks again to the team! See everyone in game! :)
