DDOLauncher Error: "Unable to decrypt and de-serialize the data..."

Anyone else getting this error today trying to open the launcher?

Is this just opening the launcher or trying to login/enter the world? Is this via the DDO launcher or the Steam?

Sounds like you likely had an interrupted/corrupted download. In which case a repair would be an option.

One thing I always do when I have issues launching/running something is run a scan on widows core files (.dll's and such), like (SFC /ScanNow or DISM scanhealth/restorehealth), as this takes much less time than doing a repair for DDO.

It's opening the launcher before even getting to the login. It's "updating files" gets to 55% then stalls. Worked last night, seems extreme to be a Windows DLL, but I've seen strange things before. Just worried if that if I have to repair DDO, I'll get the same error haha.

Is it always the same file? Find it, delete it, restart launcher. The missing file will get downloaded again.

Doesn't specify the file. Is there log files anywhere I can review?

Interesting to note the very first time I was able to log in but it got to the splash screen with the progress meter and just stopped there.
I'll probably break down and just do a repair and see what happens...

Update:

Think I figured it out. Looks like the hard drive I stored a lot of my games on is on its last legs... :(
