DDOwiki poll for Heroic, Epic, and Legendary icons.

I get the vague impression from the DDO Wiki banner text alone [Post #13] (remember I don't have any login credentials to view Discord). The reason behind the idea was because someone had bitten off more than they can chew.

Perhaps for example, they tried to create a needlessly overly complex table structure. Then realised what they had created was unworkable or too complex, etc.

So then some (private, i.e. not visible without login) Discord chat was likely created and the problem hadn't been resolved.

Therefore, to complicate matters further they decided to add those icons and announce a public poll that – slightly ironically – was in fact exclusive to the Discord platform only, requiring credentials just to even see.

Because they had developed a new "experimental table" structure that was likely "not fit for purpose" in the first place, e.g. it had been poorly thought out and implemented. Or perhaps it was a consolidation of far too many items that appeared within the said "experimental table", an such. Leading to chaos and clutter...

For example, "A brainstorm without the storm" is good; the other way around a "A brainstorm without the brain" is not ideal. :-/

Of course that is just healthy speculation. Because the context hasn't been clarified by the OP plus I cannot personally see the Discord content.

Rogue, at least those prototype icons shapes you've produced seem more logical. Given that you also weren't given the proper context to work from either. I'd lean towards your scheme.
It's the Lunar and Solar Gems table I created back in mid-2024 - it worked perfectly fine at the time because the augments only came in Heroic and Legendary variants and each was restricted to a maximum of two drop locations. Two adventure packs also dropping Gems and the addition of Epic augments later, however, and the table was getting very bloated - plus the necessity to manually update each new drop location was quickly getting out of hand. (Some users may have noticed the current version of the table doesn't have drop locations at all, which is going too far in the other direction - you can currently still find drop locations by following the linked values to the individual page of a particular gem but this isn't great for people considering multiple gems at once.)

We're hoping to get a version of that list up in the near future that automatically collects the drop locations in a single column, which may use these symbols as sub-headings within that column. This isn't set in stone yet, though - there are a couple of draft versions at https://ddowiki.com/page/Lunar_and_Solar_Gems/sandbox, minus the automation, and honestly it looks like the letters H, E and L or the text ML:1, ML:20 and ML:30 might work just as well. I do not believe there are any plans at the moment to replace any existing symbols for XP values or monster CRs with these icons, nor in my opinion is that something we should do.

Thanks for the contexts.

Discord doesn't require an account or even an app to access. My kids access it without an account through a browser.
The poll was announced here, on X (Twitter), Facebook, and on wiki via a banner on the top of every page.
I personally have no interest in doing another contest to replace the main page image on the wiki that was voted in as a contest a little under 9 years ago.
The winner of the poll on Discord was "Feat icons" which was implemented on wiki with the shapes as an alt text for the images and color borders to match for yellow, purple, orange.

I can confirm the Discord website does in fact require a Login to access with the URI links you provided. Do you require a Screenshot?

Aside: Also it looked one of the last edits to the: "MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist" whitelist had misplaced backslashes with \web\ rather than the literal. Perhaps your RegExp was also too greedy with the matches. Maybe try something on the lines of:

Code:
\bweb\.archive\.org/web/[0-9]{14}/https?://(?:www\.)?(?:ddo|standingstonegames)\.com(?:/[^ \t\r\n?]*)?(?:\?[^ \t\r\n]*)?\b

Adjust as applicable to the system the wiki install uses for matching special characters, etc.
