death auras and negative energy burst

  • All death auras say they tick every 3 seconds in main description and 2 seconds in the dice section at end. They tick every 3 seconds.
  • Greater Death Aura says it ticks for 3d4 + 1 per caster lvl. It scales at 1 per 2 caster levels.
  • Death Aura says it ticks for 2d4 + 1 per caster lvl. It scales at 1 per 2 caster levels.
  • Negative Energy Burst says it hits for 1d6+4 per caster lvl. It is 1d6+4 per 2 caster levels (possibly 1d6+5, but definitely scaling at half lvls).

They I am pretty sure nerfred all of these and never changed the tool tips or announced it years ago.

At one point, someone probably built some sort of negative healing tank that offended a developer at some point in time a decade ago.

To be clear, I'm pretty sure the death aura bugs have been around since the beginning, and neg energy burst since the dice were changed in 2018.

These are very far from new bugs, just trying to clarify all the talk about bugs relating to these spells, and resubmit a bug report about them. I posted a similar report (127719) just over 5 years ago.

You are correct sir, and it wasnt an announced nerf either, it was a stealth nerf that they tried to slip in unnoticed at the time. But some players like myself who are used to routine and expected results noticed the change in damage taken versus healing almost immediately. Thats why the funny part of it was that they tried to stealth it to 3 seconds when it was 2 seconds and players like myself knew because we had counted the healing clicks during the duration of the spell well before the nerf. They did it so effectively that people like the OP here are still mind tricked into believing it was always 3 seconds.

Talking about negative healing and such, I just recently noticed too that the scion of shadowfell removes the 20 negative heal amp upon death, thats pretty annoying. You gotta relog to fix it...I have no idea how long its been like this or been reported before. It took me awhile to figure out exactly where the 20 loss was coming from but its 100% the scion.
