Delayed Blast Fireball

Could someone explain this spell to me? I put it on a button on my mouse. Each time I press the button it brings up a box in which I have to choose instant or delayed. Can this be set permanently to one or the other? If I have to fiddle with my cursor to choose one or the other in the heat of battle, it's useless to me.

Drag the icon from the pop-up to your bars like any other spell, and it'll cast normally like you expect. It's no different than if you cast Fire Shield from a scroll, where you get an option of which version to cast.

No one uses the DBF trap version.

When that selection box comes up, pull the version you want from it and drop it into your hotbar. Add whatever Metamagics you want onto that version. It'll cast only that version every time then using that one you pulled out.

This applies to other spells as well that brings up a selection box.

No one uses the DBF trap version.

There are rare circumstances where it is "useful." iirc you can use it to better spawn camp as it will trigger when the enemies load in and hitting them almost immediately, but that circumstance is so rare and the benefit so marginal.

Another tip quiken on globally when you get meteors then manually turn it off on the spells you don't want

I just tried dragging "Instant" from the selection box to my hot bar, but it still brings up the dialogue box, whether I press the mouse key or manually press the icon on the hot bar
