Sands has a few notable reasons to run:
- Good EXP, even without a Saga. May require being selective if optimizing for EXP.
- Some exception loot for Heroic (Golden Greaves, Ring of Baphomet) and Epic (Epic Storm, Epic Bramble-caster), along with several other potentially great items
- Respectable combination of Tokens of the Twelve and EXP in Epic
Sorrowdusk can be notable for a couple reasons:
- Pretty fast Favor per minute by running the chain. 117 Favor in about 30 minutes, and Favor can indirectly turn into EXP for some folks by turning into EXP potions
- Among the easiest quests to run on higher Reaper due to short duration and low overall required kills, meaning it can have respectable RXP per minute for the Heroic section of the game. Helpful for newer folks earning their first few Reaper points
Threnal is still one I generally struggle to find a competitive reason to run, but I sometimes consider it when:
- I need to get the Mantle of the Worldshaper for making a Master's Gift Augment
- I know I can make use of a 15 minute AFK during Hold for Reinforcements. Nothing requires you to be alive the whole duration and there is a resurrection shrine, so you can step away for a long while and come back when the timer finishes to blast everything down
- If you do not count the time you sit AFK in Hold for Reinforcements and have a way to bust the lock in Southern Threnal, the EXP is decent
Not everything needs a Saga to be considered worth running.
