@Devs: May we have a way to disable Eldritch Transformation overlay?

It is said that every bump is printed onto a slip of paper, and ejected into a chute leading to a furnace in the basement of a Vaunt Arcanotechnic factory. Our bumps will single-handedly keep the factory warm throughout the autumn and winter months! Keep at it, fellas!

Too often, the forums are just a place to scream into the void. But scream we will—maybe they’ll hear a faint whisper. 🤞

Can you give us the option to disable error messages like: Are you not proficient with the weapon, cosmetics, etc...?
This pollutes the screen, it gets in the way a lot.

My post bumps bring all the devs to the yard, and they're like 'it's better than yours'

I'm sure you'll get better at it with practice. I just want to say good luck. We're all counting on you.

Bump #4 Justice
If The Black Abbot can form-shift from a generic lich in the crypt quests to his appearance in both Ascension Chamber and Mark of Death, then we, too, can form-shift into an EK overlayless being!

OK enough with this. It's a good suggestion, its been heard, and it was fun as a meme for a while, but its unrealistic to think that they're going to immediately patch this in just because you're annoying them every day. And there's no way they're going to set a public precedent of caving to an annoyance campaign, or else everyone's going to start one for their pet suggestion, so its unrealistic to expect them to even agree to do it Soon.

There is a no-bump rule in the forums. Cordo was obviously executing prosecutorial discretion up to this point, but I think its time to call it.

Please present your evidence that this has been heard.

This is not 'pet suggestion' like the others. This is not about tilting the rules in our favor. It is about a despised cosmetic effect. No thinking about game balance or revenue issues is required. Just a yes or no regarding whether it can be done (preferably yes).

Maybe it’s hard to add it to the “disable character overlays” effect group. Maybe not. Maybe steelstar loves it so much that it will stay like this forever. Maybe it was just enabled because it seemed like a cool idea, and nobody has the time to change it now.

Maybe it would be nice to have a response.

This is not the only post on this topic. Just the longest one.

Such a thing has been asked many times before. There are many cosmetics, including expensive ones, as well as cosmetics made from rare drops, which are obscured by this bulky, spiky overlay.

[edit] This would be an optional selection in the game settings - akin to the "Disable full character overlay effects" option currently in game that works on elemental forms.

[edit 2 Phiarlan Boogaloo] Another person on page 2 mentioned the DL aura. Why not have an option to toggle all permanent toggle and/or feat auras on/off?
YES! A UI option to suppress any overlay. I hate getting great cosmetics and then casting stoneskin or barkskin while massacring innocent monsters (they're just trying to go about their lives). I sometimes prefer to flirt with death and leave the stoneskin off. Better to die while looking good than live as a walking rock.

The devs have said on multiple occasions that they read every post on the forum

They have read this one too, they are aware. That doesn't mean they'll respond, but they have seen it. Bumping does not actually do anything to elevate the suggestion. If anything, it discourages them responding, because they don't want to incentivize this kind of behavior.

And yes it is a pet suggestion, because only certain people care about it (i personally don't, though i have nothing against changing it for those that do), and it doesn't actually affect gameplay, only aesthetics.
