Dhampire Ascended Bite not working with Dragon Lord Greater Roar

Dont realy know if this is the correct place to post this but:
Ascended Bite: Your Vampiric Bite now applies 5 stacks of Vulnerability and deals double the piercing damage. if the target of your Vampiric Bite is Cowered, living, and corporeal they must make a Fortitude Saving Throw (DC 16 + Highest of STR/CON/CHA Mod + Stunning Bonuses + Enchantment Bonuses) or die.

Greater Roar: Your Dragon's Roar now Cowers enemies instead of Dazing them. In addition, when you use Dragon's Roar, you gain a +20% Morale bonus to damage versus Helpless targets for 20 seconds.

seems that should work, not only that but even seems that were created to work together.

According to the wiki:

Note: Does not apply to targets Cowered by Dragon's Roar. Does apply to those affected by Fearsome Countenance. Characters who are Cowered by Turn Undead that turn off their Transformation may be killed by this effect.

Bug: There is something seriously wrong with this ability's DC. Character who should have DC 51 Ascendant Bite shows having 24 instead. Actual Formula for DC appears to be (10 + Character Level).

I'm not sure if anything has been changed since this text was added to the wiki, but it looks like Ascended Bite is meant to be used in combination with enhancements in the Dhampir racial tree and not a whole lot else.

Both of these bugs (and they are both bugs, one way or another) are indeed still present as presented on the wiki.

I have wondered if this is a bug or WAI. IIRC there's other abilities like the Dragon Lord capstone that also doesn't work with ED abilities (doesn't work with divine crusader granted improved sunder ability iirc).

Description in this case definitely needs updating if WAI to specify "if cowered by Fearsome Countenance" rather than just say a blanket "if cowered".

Isn't the person that, did reword the semantics to spell out what it actually does, now gone from SSG?

DDO's devs are perpetual victims of their own unnecessary complexity. Most dev teams understand why the KISS principle is important but apparently not DDO's.

I've never understood why they feel the need to spin up 10 different versions of the same effects, spells, etc. It constantly causes them problems and makes adding new items, spells and abilities a trainwreck of a bugged mess because they never remember to account for all possible versions.

Take the Helm of the Warblade for example. The Crown of the Summer effect on it is still bugged, yet it works on all the other helmets with that effect. Why would they even have/need different versions of that effect...

Why is it the same thing, I'd rather have it scale.

Lowest level it can be found on is level 5, highest at the moment is level 33?

It is also worded differently.
