Basically weakest ranged weapon in the game, even though it's meant to be hardest hitting and critting with it's single shots.

If you select "nope it's great", do you play r10 and legendary raids, and actually keep up with inquisitive or shuriken?

People who actually play gxbow, or pure 20 mechanic, should it get buffed by devs? What do you guys think?

For me, they are totally fine. Pure Rogue Mechanic with great crossbow was my most enjoyable life yet. So no complaints from me.

You say they are totally fine, cool. What difficulty did you play on? What made it enjoyable?

They just need to put NHB/fusilade in t5 and its a viable build. The issue is that currently you have to go /4 arti to make Gxbow feel competitive with other ranged styles. It's 99% of the way to being decent and just needs this last puzzle piece.

Mostly elite, with some rare R1-2 quests (and I guess now you´ll tell me that my opinion doesn´t count then...)
What made it enjoyable ? I guess it generally fits my playstyle. I like the knockdown on a vorpal hit and getting vorpals on 19-20, I like the big damage numbers I got with it, I liked that I didn´t have to worry about any traps.

Thanks for your transparency, glad you enjoy. Your opinion counts, but you should play it in R10/ Legendary Elite, and tell me if it's still fine, when trying to keep up with all other ranged builds. No disrespect to you.

That thing is great for clearing rooms. Have guildie that runs a GXB build. We get into the quest and he starts shooting at the mobs as soon as he can see them. All the mobs run past us to kill him and we hang out in the empty room while he dies horribly. Again. The room is cleared out though.

This works just as well in R10 as it does in R2.

Is your guildy using 4 arti for fusidale or inquis no holds barred on his Gxbow, or is he pure mechanic 20 rogue? If the guildy is not pure mechanic rogue, lol... point proven.

I was onboard until you implied that R10 is the only difficulty.
It's the hardest difficulty along with Legendary Elite, that mechanic gxbow struggles to keep up with the other ranged. I did not imply it's the only one. Which difficulty do you play?

Sadly there are dozens of threads over the years. And the fix was right there in front of SSG when they buffed longbows and shortbows. All they had to do was the same 1.5x main stat bonus to damage.

Time Bomb hits like a truck but I'd happily have that damage reduced a little if the base weapon damage got the same 1.5x longbow and shortbow boost. And they came back and boosted longbows and shortbows a 2nd time too. So they had 2 obvious chances to fix GXB but ignored it.

All that work on the Mechanic tree and they didnt touch the fundamental issue. The base damage for GXB is just weak.

It's still missing Fusilade, which is a huge boost to non-gxb -- you'd need 4 arti even with a stat boost.

The problem with doubling down on traps is the entire trap mechanic relies on the lobbing physics. It's ridiculously slow, unreliable, and glitchy. Half the time it doesn't work even using jump-tricks; ie. the epitome of not-fun. Lobbing has to be some dev's favorite pet because there's no other way to explain why it keeps being forced on players.

Increase base lobbing speed by 10x, make it 100% reliable, and THEN trap tossing maybe starts to become fun.

Yep. Everyone keeps saying give it No Holds Barred or Fusilade....no. Those should not even work with Gxbow. It needs it's base damage improved. It's a giant crossbow that shoots single shots, that hit hard, not a machine gun. It needs all the buffs longbow gets from Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, Precise Shot, and Improved Precise Shot, for starters. Keep making these posts till' the devs see and fix it. The only people saying it's fine, are players who don't play the hardest difficulties of the game (no offense) and trolls who only want inquis to be the best.

I dont think a GXB needs more fast firing. It can get to 65% ranged attack speed in heroic levels. Not sure how high it will get in Epic. It needs the base damage to do more. And the ridiculous thing is, SSG have the solution to that right in front of them.

The longbow and shortbow buffs.

It doesnt need to be the 3d machine gun it needs to be the first railgun. A bit more dmg with the bow feats. 100% pierce at core 18.
Int to hit and int to dmg at lvl1 and 3.
And either its own bleed imbue or trance.
And doubleshot action boost.

But why the 3 topics?

Anymore than 1 on the same subject by the same person comes across as banging a tin drum trying to draw attention.
