Do You mind having to buy Wild Mage archetype prior to buying Chaosmancer iconic?

We cannot buy Chaosmancer in ddostore at the moment, because it is based on paid (non f2p) archetype and it produced a small complication.

I believe DDO staff is currently trying to make "exception in the code" to let us buy and play Chaosmancer iconic characters (and level up that iconic based on Wild Mage) without having to buy Wild Mage archetype separately. But it takes too long, people are waiting, and it could not be the real problem in the first place!

That's why I'm asking you - fellow players - the question above.

Yes. I mind very much. There is no universe in which I will ever play as a straight wildmage, ergo I do not want to waste my precious remaining DDO points on something I cannot use. However I want the "eladrin step" past life, ergo I need chaosmancer.

I don't want to own Myth Drannor either. I'm not paying money or points for any more expansions were the quest entrances are in a wilderness with no teleports.

Until they stop doing this, SSG gets no more money from me. This is part of why I'm never buying wildmage. I have the points I bought back before MD. Once those run out, if the new xpac doesn't fix the problem stopping me from buying, it'll be time to quit the game.

For the price they are charging for wild mage, they should just include the iconic.

I just want the iconic for past life and don't care if I own the archetype.

That is until they come up with archetype completionist.

Same here. Though for me its not about the money so much as not wanting to own something so terrible. I vote with my wallet.
